Mermaid Lagooooooon here we come!
Also, just gonna say this now: she’s gotta have red hair. That’s a deal breaker, Mr. Horowitz. Your Ariel must have red hair for me to be happy.Mermaid lagoon!!!! YAYYYYY!
I definitely want her to have red hair too!
Although, originally Ariel was supposed to have blonde hair…. but i choose to ignore that fact 😛Proud Keeper of the Dinglehoppers

That would just be icing on top of an already stupendous cake! 😀 There were two young women cast (posted in casting call for 2×22 thread). Here’s the link: https://oncepodcast.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=92&t=3356&start=10#p49083
I’m thinking one could be a mermaid. Wasn’t Ariel supposed to be 16 when she married Prince Eric? The blonde girl, Laine MacNeil, is 15, so she would fit into the correct profile. Plus, her hair is close to strawberry-blonde with reddish hues. It doesn’t really bother me if she doesn’t have bright red hair, for as long as the story is compelling, I’m thrilled! In other news, Beverely Elliot, who plays Granny, tweeted an interesting message:
Sorta sounds like Granny might be written out of the plot, so maybe Beverley is saying goodbye to OUAT for good, which is why the season 2 finale is especially bitter-sweet for her. 😥"That’s how you know you’ve really got a home. April 5, 2013 at 3:38 pm #184561RumplesGirlKeymasterShe does look mermaid or pixie-ish! Her hair is close enough, I suppose. And yes, Ariel was 16 (like most of the Disney princesses). If she is Ariel though I think we can officially say Hook/Ariel isn’t going to happen. I don’t think they’d have a 16 yr old (being played by a 17 yr old) getting together with Colin who’s quite a bit older, not that I expected it anyway since I predict CaptainSwan for the first half of the season and then SwanFire for the rest of the series.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"April 5, 2013 at 3:53 pm #184565SlurpeezParticipantYeah, as much as I’d like to see an Ariel-Hook pairing (because it sounds awesome and it’d free up SwanFire), I just don’t think OUAT would have an under-age teenager marry a man twice her age (even though it wasn’t so uncommon in the 19th century when Hans Christian Anderson wrote The Little Mermaid). So, maybe Ariel will feature in Neverland, and perhaps she even saves Hook’s life at one point, but I doubt she’ll be a romantic interest for anyone except maybe a Lost Boy (Baelfire perhaps) or Peter Pan himself.

April 5, 2013 at 3:59 pm #184566RumplesGirlKeymasterOh, they’re really killing Granny, aren’t they? Oh this is really sad. She’s such a bad@$$. But it makes sense with Meghan leaving too.
Speaking of Ariel and Eric: what if the change for their story is that Eric is a Lost Boy? He could be a prince who got sent to NL by some family member. So he’s a lost prince too.

But it does sound like it might be the end for her. Do we know for sure that Meghan is leaving? I had thought she might be able to do both shows. Love the Eric as Lost Boy and Lost Prince theory – it’s a great way (other than the mermaids) to tie in the two stories.
April 5, 2013 at 4:36 pm #184571RumplesGirlKeymasterAs far as I know, her contract states that she can both shows but that she will predominately be on Intelligence. Since we will probably only see Ruby in either flashbacks on if we check on the minor characters in SB (or FTL), there is less need for Granny and her death can be an emotional catalyst for some characters.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"April 5, 2013 at 4:40 pm #184574HappyEndingsSpectatorGranny wouldn’t be missed as much as the Cricket as Henry knows the Dr better but who knows hope it isn’t Granny 😥
April 5, 2013 at 4:49 pm #184578RumplesGirlKeymasterI see Granny as being one of those characters that is beloved by the entire town and I think her death will affect a lot of different people in a lot of different ways. I wonder how she dies though. My guess is Tamara kills her with the taser.
