Does anyone have any theories as to what leads up to Henry being kidnapped by Greg & Tamara ? & Why they take him ?

Well, we know Tamara is motivated by magic and wants to steal it from SB. As Emma’s son, Henry may have his own magic, which we’ve yet to see. Also, Tamara could want Henry as a ransom for more magic, from Mr. Gold, from Regina, from Emma, who are all very powerful. Tamara is almost certainly using Henry for leverage of some sort.
In other news, I think young Baelfire does look the part of a young swash-buckler, which doesn’t necessarily preclude him from also being Peter Pan. Maybe that’s the twist: he’s both part of Hook’s crew and the leader of the Lost Boys.
ETA: One more thing, have we seen this photo before? Emma is smiling at Neal! I hope this is from filming and not just a BTS shot of Jennifer smiling at MRJ between takes.

I think they take Henry as a hostage until Regina gives him his Dad. Tamara wants more magic so I am guessing she is checking out Netherland for more magic.
As far as Tamara, she said on the show, “I’m not a magical being.” But then, of course, everyone was saying, ‘welll, that doesn’t mean she’s not a fairytale character because people like Tiana from Princess and the Frog and Wendy are not necessarily magical.’ But Eddy and Adam insist she has absolutely no other alternate identity. She’s not another character, she’s Tamara, period, end of story. She’s from our world and she’s just looking to get the scoop on the magic
I think everything Tamara does is prompted by her desire for magic, whether that be for herself or for some other reason we have yet to learn. I think Greg and Tamara have two different agendas but they both think that kidnapping Henry is the solution to their problems.
Young Dylan does look very pirate-like there. We know he had to be apart of the crew at least for a short time because he learned how to sail the Jolly Roger, but the way Hook talked about the Lost Boys in Tallahassee would indicate that the relationship wasn’t adversarial.

Perhaps keeping Bae from Rumple satisfied Hook’s revenge against Rumple for a while until Hook could work out how to kill Rumple.

Hook saw young Bae for about 20 seconds in the bar. But that was when Bae was about 5 or 6. He doens’t know NEAL and we don’t know if he recognized 14 yr old Bae. Hook and Neal’s first interaction is something I’m looking forward to.
Emma: It’s a Native American dream catcher. It’s supposed to keep all the nightmares out, and only let the good dreams in to protect your home.
Neal: It’s flypaper for nightmares?
Emma: Mmhmm.
Neal: Let’s keep it.
Emma: Yeah, hang it where? The car?
Neal: It’s not much of a home. Maybe it’s time we get a real place.
Emma: Are you saying…
Neal: Why not? We’ve been on the road long enough, baby. It’s time we retire the Bonnie and Clyde act. So, I think… I think it’s time.

I’d find it hard to buy if Hook sees 14 year old Bae in NL and recognises him as the kid he saw years earlier for a few moments in a dimly lit pub. If Bae is going by his real name in NL, then of course Hook would instantly make the connection. But I doubt Bae was going by his real name in NL, so I think it took a while before Hook figured out who he was, but I do think the truth came out at some point. I have high expectations of the moment Hook first sees Neal. Hope it’s awesome.
I agree with Phee. I think Bae was using a different name in NL but eventually Hook figured it out and that is what perhaps lead to their falling out. Maybe Hook wanted Bae to help him kill Rumple, like when he tried to free Belle in QoH if she would help him out. But Bae still loves his papa and always will. He’s a good soul who couldn’t do that to Rumple. So he left NL and came to our world in about 1991 at the age of 14. The question, if this is true, is how did he get here?
