One of my favorite things about this show is the sweet daddy moments that crop up every now and then. I confess, I’ve got a thing for guys who love kids.

I adored David’s protectiveness of Emma this episode. Giving Neal the stink eye when he first met him, asking Emma if she was ok when she and Neal were talking, moving in front of her and deflecting the fireball that was aimed for her head, calling her soon as he woke up and asking if she was safe.
I think it was the most interaction they’ve had all season lol
I wish Charming and Emma would have some bonding time this season. Emma had some great moments with Snow.
Jefferson’s moment with Grace at the end of “Lady of the Lake” was super sweet.
Baby Bae with Papa Rumple…oh man. That one broke me. Especially when contrasted with adult Bae and Papa Rumple. (and then they went and broke me further in Miller’s Daughter)

But rewatching the pilot the other day, instead of tearing up or getting a lump in my throat I full-on CRIED during that moment. So so so so SO beautiful!!! That’s one of the things that have bothered me from the start of the season with David and Emma, Snow and Emma got to bond and realize their relationship while in the EF and David seemingly had one brief moment to hug his daughter and was unable to see them until they returned. I actually thought would it have been better to have David go through with Emma and Snow stay behind with Henry 😀 Still I hope now they do get a chance to bond cause moments with them have been brief and not too frequent.
Yeah, though it was fun having the four princesses up against the queen and the pirate for a bit. And fun seeing Charming finally have the chance to have the son he always wanted with Henry.
