That said, apparently there are some who would rather a reboot of the show with CS as the main characters. How do we all feel about that?
If you had asked me a year ago, i’d probably have said that would be a thing as opposed to a show with Henry and his daughter… Like, I feel like that is exactly something they would have done, not just with CS, but with any couple

She understands the beauty of it and she’s always been for it.
I think anyone that tries to suggest she hates it or the show is just bitter and projecting their feelings on to JMO. It’s honestly really pathetic seeing that from certain fandoms.
Just cause you don’t like it doesn’t mean she needs to feel the way you do. Deal with it.
Also irrelevant people on Tumblr that are wrong all the time, should never be looked upon as some source of any kind, lol.

You have your own opinions, that’s fine, but other people have theirs too. One is not more valid than the other. The fact that you visit the Swanfire thread then come here to complain about the opinions in the Swanfire thread, and by extension insulting the people by who have those opinions by calling them “bitter”, is what Hook would call “bad form”.
You don’t like what you read in the Swanfire thread, then don’t visit the Swanfire thread.

So I just addressed this in the SF thread not knowing you posted on here about it. I did find it odd that just bc JMo said something nice about Emma and the show, many SF fans believe she is actually not being truthful. Like, it is possible she actually did like Emma and the show haha. It comes off as SF fans searching for some sort of justification that the show lost it’s footing with Emma once Neal left the show.

And while I don’t agree with @Michael’s language and direct attacks at people at times, I see no problem visiting the SF thread, disagreeing with something, and then commenting about the people’s opinions in this thread. There are things I agree with and things I disagree with in the SF thread and I comment as such. What I just read in the SF thread does come off as a little bitter if I’m being honest. Which is totally fine! But then if someone else calls you guys bitter in the CS thread, then you can’t be surprised. It’s an opinion and I don’t view that as bad form at all. In fact, if you don’t like what you read in the CS thread, then you don’t have to come here either. It works both ways doesn’t it? I just read something in the SF thread that says only CS fans have enjoyed JMO’s work in the last couple seasons and only CS fans have enjoyed Emma the last few seasons. Well now aren’t you guys taking shots at CS fans now in your thread and doing the same thing?
I have no problem with SF fans venting on the SF thread about CS fans and same goes with CS fans on their thread. It works both ways and you have to be ok with reading it if you’re going to go to that thread. @Michael went to the SF thread and then commented on what he read in the CS thread. You went to the CS thread and then commented in the CS thread about what you saw. You would have never known what @Michael thought of JMo’s exit interview if you didn’t come here. So I would say the same thing to SF fans as I do to CS fans. Understand that if you visit the other’s thread, you may not like what you read, but then deal with it. Calling people bitter is hardly the worst thing @Michael has said haha.

There is a difference between disagreeing with someone’s opinion and calling the actual person themselves “bitter” for having that opinion. It would be like someone who hates CS calling CSers “rape apologists” just because they view CS as “rape culture” and Csers don’t.
If Michael had said something like “I’ve seen comments saying that JMo secretly hates CS and I really disagree with that because she’s said some of her favourite moments feature CS etc” then that’s fine, it’s a perfectly valid point of view and it’s also respectful of other people’s views. Instead Michael’s going “Oh that person doesn’t like CS, they’re obviously bitter because they don’t see things like I do”.
Do you notice the difference?
“I just read something in the SF thread that says only CS fans have enjoyed JMO’s work in the last couple seasons and only CS fans have enjoyed Emma the last few seasons.”
That’s an opinion that CS fans are the only ones that enjoyed Emma in the last few seasons and is perfectly valid to disagree with. All you need is a non-CSer to say “I enjoyed Emma” then you’ve got a powerful counter-argument. That is not name calling CS fans, unlike Michael who is calling SFers “bitter” just because they don’t agree with his/her point of view.
“Calling people bitter is hardly the worst thing @Michael has said” isn’t exactly a compliment. Basically what you’re saying is “He/She’s called people worse”. The point is Michael shouldn’t be calling people anything.

Everything you say is fair and you’re right. People probably shouldn’t call other people anything. However, are you really comparing calling someone “bitter” to calling someone a “rape apologist?” That doesn’t seem very fair. I’m just saying calling someone bitter is an observation that I don’t find to be THAT rude on a tv show’s forum compared to other things I’ve seen.

I was just trying to find a comparable example, it might not be on the exact same level but it gives the gist of the point. I’ve seen CS called “rape culture” and I’ve seen Neal’s death be blamed for any negative opinion of CS so I was trying to take that into account when I made the point.
My opinion of CS is that whilst the idea of it was interesting, and Tallahassee had a lot of chemistry between Emma and Hook (which you want for any potential pairing), the execution of it wasn’t as good as it could have been. OutlawQueen shared the same problem. It seemed like the writers, instead of letting it progress at a natural pace, were trying to rush it.
In CS’s case, I think the writers needed to use the Neverland arc to let Emma and Hook be on genuinely friendly terms before progressing to flirting in 3B. As it is, Hook goes directly from almost leaving Emma to die to suddenly wanting her to declare her love for him. It’s almost like it skipped a step.
OQ suffers worse by the fact that Robin is completely unbothered by the fact that Regina was the Evil Queen despite us later finding out that Regina was responsible for the death of Marian, Robin’s wife. Those ideas just don’t gel because essentially what you have is Robin falling in love with his wife’s murderer.

As well as the obsession with some nobody on Tumblr whom gets nothing right at all ever. Which is hilarious and yeah it is bitter.
JMO’s favorite episode and it’s always the same is the CS movie(she’s even called in the CS movie). She doesn’t fake her love of Emma and CS. No way in heck with how well versed she is, is it all an act.
Anybody that thinks that is just bitter cause JMO doesn’t talk about their ship like that.
May 25, 2017 at 2:54 pm #339261TheWatcherParticipantRandom out of this world question that I never thought of before:
……….. Do you guys think Milah and Emma might actually be similar? I know we haven’t seen much of her…but hmmm…….
I was posting in the Rump/Milah thread and was saying how I would have liked scenes where we actually see what attracted Milah to Hook and vice versa, what made HER someone he loved as opposed to a random woman to sleep with and then I started wondering maybe if we did see that we would learn maybe she and Emma are somehow similar (this show loves its parallels).Perhaps next season we’d get to see that. Shame we didn’t get to see it during the Underworld arc. This show is filled with such missed potential
