There is nothing to suggest he wants to rid the world of magic or further the cause for magic. There is nothing to hint either way, nor has he said he wanted to. There is also nothing to suggest that any endgame involves no more magic. There is suggestion that the curse may benefit Rumple/Gold’s plans. If he created it the endgame should benefit him, right? It is like the first gunsmith in the world, making the world’s first hand gun, making it only to want to do that so he can shoot himself in the head. It is pointless right?

At least with Regina they hinted throughout the series what Snow did, so that we were able to guess the general details of what happened between Snow and Regina. I don’t really have any clue what Rumpel is doing except it may have to do with Bae or the dark curse, but i think they are just going to throw it out there all at once sometime in the last four episodes.

David is annoying yet interesting at the same time. What want to see if David can get it right and we want to see what Mr. Gold is up to. It makes us want and want more. To find out and it is killing all of us, that is why it is annoying, not necessarily the characters themselves.

I do find it annoying that there haven’t been more hints about what he is up to. I think they should have hinted a bit more instead of just throwing it out there, but maybe once we know what it is some things will feel more like hints.
And like i said it could have to do with many things like Bae, what is between Rumpel and the faires, what is between Regina and Rumpel, what happened to Belle, many things. And maybe all of those things. Rumpel just got feed up and wants to hurt people. Who knows.
April 15, 2012 at 9:30 pm #142453charmingParticipantconsider this. all of the pieces of Rumple’s puzzle are not fully in place. after they are then and only then will all of us see some real action. real action as in all of the question we have of his deal, his game, his angle and what is he getting out of all of this right now it seems to be nothing and that’s what is suppose to happen. by the end of the season it can clear up more. then again it is Rumple/ Mr. Gold we are talking about here all may not be as we expect.

First, I like Phee’s idea that perhaps the adoption wasn’t even legal which would mean that technically Emma is still Henry’s mother. Second, I like weedith’s suggestion that as part of Regina’s redemption she could realize that she is not capable of loving Henry the way he deserves to be loved and she could choose to give Henry back to Emma – which in itself would be a gesture of her love for him. Or you could end up with a combination of both.
Now, obviously if Regina ends up doing something truely horrific in SB and is caught and ends up having Henry taken away from her because she is deemed not to be a fit parent that also makes it possible for Henry to end up with Emma.
I wonder what is really going to happen if that comes to pass though. Henry complains that Regina just pretends to love him but at the end of the day he is still just a kid. I can’t imagine that being taken away from the woman who has raised him from infancy isn’t going to be traumtic for the kid in at least some kind of way. Regina was raised by a psychopath, yet right up to the point that Cora ripped Daniel’s heart out she still seemed to want her mother’s love and approval – and she was an adult at that point.

I can agree with that. It is plausible. Then there is this owed favor of Emma to Gold, that I can’t help think that is going to be a potential wild card. I think the favor is too soon for Rumple to use this season. It seems like he is going to try to get one more up on Emma before using the favor. That one may not necessarily be another favor.
None the less I agree with all of the prior. What of the favor? Can it involve Henry? Is it too soon for Gold to use?
