The acting of everyone was top notched… BUT LANA brought it home as EQ and REGINA…..LOVE to hate her character.
Emma having magic was expected; she need to learn how to use it…. I think she will need control in the future.
Gold as usual is manipulating everyone to get what he wants…
Do not like how some characters are in the scene but have nothing to say…
ie Belle and Rumple… She always looks depressed.

I can’t even begin with all the LEAST favorite moments. I guess the final word fight between Emma and Regina. Sheriff, girl, why can’t you see, if she really killed Archie, you wouldn’t be standing there just like that! She would blow you in pieces! But she is restraining herself, how can you be so cruel?!
No, no favorite parts. Oh wait, there is that line about Archie having “got his phd from a curse”.
Big bravo to Lana Parrilla and playing her thousand different emotions in just one episode!January 7, 2013 at 2:42 am #167175elleParticipant
But Emma herself saw the Dreamcatcher–plus, she was working to try to prove Regina was innocent. She wanted to believe in Regina, she wanted to believe she was innocent. Even when Prince Charming and Snow White were trying to convince her, Emma did not think badly of Regina until she used her magic (not Mr. Gold’s) to see for herself. It is not her fault that Cora was smart enough to change her appearence.
She invited Regina to dinner and was more than polite–she was close to being friendly. The only time she overstepped herself was when she at first refused to let Henry stay with Regina, but then she apologized and gave Regina credit for trying.January 7, 2013 at 2:45 am #167176marilouParticipant
favorite: the phd curse line! and… ARCHIE IS NOT DEAD!!!!! heck yeah!
least favorite: ackward bed scene between Emma, Snow, David and henry. (isn’t henry 11? how does he not know what was going on in that bed? … he can’t be that naive)January 7, 2013 at 3:25 am #167196craxyfoxParticipant
I liked the phd curse line of course 😆 also at the end when Cora announced that Regina has now lost everything and Hook dubbed her “mother of the year” 😆
least favourite, probably how no one else saw Cora and Hook sailing into townJanuary 7, 2013 at 3:28 am #167197timespacerParticipant
Favorite moment: Regina watching Emma tell Henry about Archie. I thought the photography of her watching them in the rear-view mirror was very well done; once again the Evil Queen watches everyone through a mirror! And Lana’s performance in that scene was wonderful. She conveyed so much emotion without a word. No matter how evil Regina has been, it’s hard to watch her in that scene and not feel some sympathy when you know her heart is breaking.
The good parts impressed me so much that they overwhelmed my impressions of the weak parts. So, I can’t really think of a least favorite moment right now. I’ll have to rewatch it and see if I notice any.January 7, 2013 at 3:29 am #167199
But Emma herself saw the Dreamcatcher
And? I think we know that with magic there is no logic. It was Gold who collected the memories so what stopped Emma from being suspicious of him? He could’ve slipped an image of the Evil Queen while ‘initiating’ the dream catcher?
And all the credit to her for believing in Regina in first place – it felt more though like she was just trying to do her job, rather than help Regina. But it doesn’t excuse her for putting that ridiculous fight in front of Mayor’s house. She shouted ridiculous arguments like “He is MY son!”. No, he’s not. Regina brought him up and it’s thanks to her he’s the person he is now. Regina is right that Emma has been away in his life for 10 years and shouldn’t exclusively keep rights to decide what’s good or not for the kid – true she apologized for starting off on the wrong note but even after Regina threw her off her feet, yet didn’t hurt her (and surely she must’ve been mad and angry), Emma kept shouting at her all that angry staff. Regina wasn’t saying anything nasty, she was trying to defend herself and she did mighty well by not losing her temper any more. It was unnecessary but it was as if Emma couldn’t stop yelling. And the look on Regina’s face, especially in the last second before she was gone (that was pretty cool BTW) – they must have noticed THAT, it wasn’t anger or fear, it was sadness.
You can keep defending Emma as much as you like, she acted in a horrible and cruel way and for what? To bring Regina’s reaction? To me it truly seemed like she was shouting at HERSELF from the past, like she was angry with herself too. To me, the roles have turned now and it is Emma who has to redeem herself.January 7, 2013 at 3:38 am #167203elleParticipant
Emma was not just doing her job–she was doing what she could to help her and Henry, who loves Regina. Just like how she invited Regina to the party and was trying to be both kind and understanding. Emma did not attack Regina with those words until Regina threw her back–yes she did not kill her, but it doesn’t justify that she used magic. Nor was Emma in anyway cold to Regina–she was warm to her, and refused to believe her guilt until she saw the memories herself–the evidence was also convincing.
Emma had accused him of tampering with the memories–that was why he made Emma take a look at the Dreamcatcher herself. And it was highly doubtful that he’d be able to tamper with the memories–Emma and the others were watching him the whole time, and I doubt that Emma truly believed him guilty of murdering Archie anyway–what would he gain from that?
I’m not just defending Emma–I am a bit tired of Regina’s actions being excused in the show all the timeJanuary 7, 2013 at 3:48 am #167207
Oh? At what point am I excusing Regina?
I’m not, It’s about Emma this time and how she crossed the line she shouldn’t.
