Will the prophesy about the Dark One soon come to pass? Will a boy perhaps be his undoing? Rumple told Lacey he is a man who doesn’t allow anybody to stand in his way. Will he attempt to kill Henry? With Lacey encouraging such darkness in him and with Baelfire out of the picture, there really isn’t anyone to prevent Rumple from attempting to harm Henry. One would think that with all of his experience, Rumple would know there are multiple ways to interpret the prophesy’s pesky little details. Might Rumple actually try to protect Henry instead of harm him? Could Rumple’s undoing be losing his powers as the Dark One at the hands of Greg/Owen? As a boy, Owen inspired Regina to adopt Henry. Henry lead Emma to Neal, who turned out to be Rumple’s son, Baelfire. So, in a very roundabout way, Greg could be the one to taser Mr. Gold and take his dark powers away. Just a theory. Thoughts?

I refuse to believe he’ll hurt Henry.

Oh I believe he’ll stop in time – I was a little worried after this episode, but then I remembered the pics of Gold and everyone on the ship. NO WAY would they all be united if Gold had tried to harm Henry.
I just disagree on how Belle will get her memories back. I don’t think it will be the cup and the well, I think the fact that SB is being destroyed will break the memory curse for both Sneezy and Belle because if it’s going to be like SB was never there then any curse that was cast in SB will have never existed as well.
But who knows. I just want to find out. But then I don’t, because that would mean the season’s over 🙁 Agh, one more episode!?!?!Moderator’s Edit: Spoiler tags around information about next weeks episode. Remember not to spoil for other people. Thanks–RG

That is possible because somehow this fail safe will kill him, although it’s supposed to be just the dagger that does that.

Yeah I think so too.
What if…the act of not killing Henry somehow brings Belle back? By defying Lacey’s enabling and taunts to do what is necessary to keep him powerful and her immortal, he essentially “wakes” Belle up. Not a well-formed theory, it just occurred to me after what you were suggesting.

May 6, 2013 at 3:31 am #191347RumplesGirlKeymasterI think to bring Belle back it has to be a real sacrifice on Rumple’s part. And giving her up after he’s lost his son and his chance to save his own skin by killing Henry, that’s sacrifice. And I think that will trigger Belle to slowly coming back. It’s going to take something else to bring her back fully.
I just rewatched the episode and it seems like Lacey is already a bit in love with Rumple. So we’re half way there."He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"May 6, 2013 at 3:38 am #191352SlurpeezParticipant@RumplesGirl wrote:

Lacey is already daydreaming about spending forever with Rumple (even though it’s as the Dark One). Hopefully, it’s love on her part that’s talking, and not just her vain desire to be kept eternally youthful. Sorry, that’s just my sarcasm speaking. In my heart, I want the real Belle back with Rumple. Even though it may not be TLK which brings back Belle, I hope falling in love for real could help Lacey along the path to regaining her memory. Can’t Rumple use his magic to glue the chipped cup back together? That has to come into play again.

May 6, 2013 at 3:50 am #191363jasminegirl84ParticipantI agree with you both. It would have to be a big sacrifice…a great parallel with Bae’s self-sacrifice, by the way.
Yes, we need the cup back…badly. I am missing it. We are halfway there, RG, I agree. She is slowly falling for him, even if it is Lacey…Belle is dormant but still there.

May 6, 2013 at 1:06 pm #191444PriceofMagicParticipantI wonder if the prophesy hasn’t started to occur yet. When Rumple found Bae in Manhattan, it wasn’t because Henry led him to him, Rumple used the globe. With Bae now in another land, and Henry soon to be kidnapped by GOAT and taken to another land, I wonder if going after Henry is what leads Rumple to Bae and his undoing.
All magic comes with a price!
