The New Storybrooke and another curse

I’d prefer if she was born green tbh.

I’m cool with that. But seeing as people aren’t generally born green, I would like some explanation about why her skin color came to be the way it is. If she was indeed born green, we can all expect a sob story.

I prefer being born green because we’re often given these tales of people who turn in some way “ugly” or less than human looking as a metaphor for them becoming evil. I prefer Wicked’s take on the idea of them always being that way and that was part of the reason they ended up that way to begin with. It kind of fits for example with the media’s narrative of conflating people who are different in someway(transgendered for example, thinking of a recent example) with people who are hostile or dangerous. That sort of othering happens to much, it’s part of the reason I liked Wicked’s take on it.

Plus we already had Rumple who turned… green-ish due to magical corruption.

Maybe Regina or Cora had a Nessarose like role or is the Witch of the East and was the “preferred child” which is part of the reason she’s so spiteful towards her. Maybe WWW was kept locked in a tower. Maybe Rapunzel is WWW’s daughter, who inherits a magical mutation(the hair)? Maybe this has something to do with why The Blue Fairy doesn’t allow interbreeding?(which was also a theme in the Wicked novel).

Actually I had the idea that WWW could be Henry’s bastard with Maleficent, which is why Cora kept her locked up in the tower. That would mirror Wicked as well, as well as kind of mirroring the ongoing plotline in Wonderland with Jafar and his father(previously the focus in Once has been on mothers).  This is also why Blue Fairy doesn’t like crossbreeding(again, mirroring Book!Wicked but not outright referencing it). Also – Maleficent originally had green skin. I’m thinking when she gave birth, the curse(probably originally the blue Fairy’s fault) passed onto her instead.

This could also explain the young actress cast. Since they can’t use Kirstin, they’d show younger Maleficent instead, which also ties into the return of Aurora.

Also this explains why Maleficent had the Mirror to wonderland, because of Cora! Perhaps she also bore a grudge against her rival and enjoyed watching her suffer.

4) A new curse brings the aforementioned characters back to the Land w/o Magic in a re-created Storybrooke.  

 

Does this mean that the new Storybrooke won’t have magic? Rumple had to bring magic. It’s possible the vial that the WWW put her blood into (or whatever) could be the trick to bringing magic to Storybrooke.

Ok, I am going to say that SB doesn’t have magic and the reason is because why would the witch have them all go to another land unless she could control them all. She would have fought Regina in FTL, as for Rumple he had his cuff on and so he still is the dark one but I think like Wat stated that the Witch necklace gives her magic in any land so therefore she would have it and had already conquered Rumple so to speak so now she can kill Regina since Regina has no magic to back her up.

I also think now that Regina was trying to create a potion to make magic in SB and that is what she through across the room and broke. I know everyone says all they need is the hair from Snow and David but they needed someone else like Emma to get the potion. Remember Rumple stated that there was no savior to protect them now after PP started the curse again.

Note: Look they used Snow’s and PC hair to break the curse. The BF used a hair from August to give Belle and Sneeze their memories back so I guess they can do this hair trick again some how 🙁
