I think Grace may be the best option for a friend for Henry. Hansel and Gretel are 2 years older than Henry, Grace is around the same age whilst Pinocchio is younger. Older children don’t really want to hang around with younger children if they can help it. Hansel and Gretel would be 13 now, they wouldn’t want to be friends with an 11 year old. The only reason they talked to Henry in True North was because they were trying to use Henry to shop lift.
Grace is my first choice as well. They already seemed to be friends, at least a little, in Hat Trick
I think the only plausible explanation they can give for Ruby’s absence was that she was busy with Whale or moving into Whale’s place. The moving into Whale’s place might be the better option because it would explain why Ruby wasn’t there that exact day for Belle without implying that Ruby has just dropped Belle in favour of Whale. Maybe Ruby’s reappearance can have her apologise for not being able to be there for Belle because she was caught up in moving.
I hope that when they make Ruby references they are tied to Frankenwolf. I really enjoy the idea of that ship, even if I don’t get to see it play out.

I used to love those! I also think seeing Henry have a true friend (lol at the dancing around the fire bit) would be most welcome.
I don’t know if they can get Paige/Grace but it might be a good way to “check in” with Jefferson without having him on screen. She can just say her Papa’s been very busy with his new custom hat business or whatever they want to drop because I’m highly doubtful they’ll get him back.
I was so underwhelmed by Giancarlo’s cameo as Mirror that I”m not expecting much out of Red popping back. These producers just….well its the game they have to say things in the best spin they can. There’s just a point where you feel you know they’re being disingenuous. That floating head was not really even important to the scene in some way that it was Mirror telling Regina. They could have had any lackey tell her or we didn’t even need to see her reacting. The meat of the story was what happened later with her challenge to Snow, saying she’d been seeking revenge the wrong way and what she wanted now was Snow to validate her claim of rule, so she could take everything that was to have been Snow’s.
Mirror had no role in that!
Anyway it is what it is. They have a huge roster of characters that they can never give adequate screen time to again for various reasons. I’d love if they took the graphic novel or social media approach to putting some more content out about the side characters where they don’t have to film anything, but just write it up. Like a fake Storeybrooke Mirror newspaper website (Smallville did that at one point!).

November 14, 2013 at 6:40 pm #223894PriceofMagicParticipantGlad you brought up the Regina as Queen subject Kfchimera. I was wondering, was Regina a good queen to her people? Could she have been a good queen if she had achieved her revenge on Snow or if Snow had given in to Regina’s demand. After all every “evil” thing Regina did was in the name of revenge against Snow. Wonderland has shown us that Red Queen was a good queen to her people and loved by them even though she is a morally dubious character.
Would Regina have been a good queen if Snow was out of the equation?

YES. I was disappointed in that appearance and you know NBC isn’t likely to hand him over again. They could have really done something in SB with Sydney for the one episode they had him

What a great question!
I think Regina’s hatred for Snow fills the hole that losing Daniel left. So if Snow were gone and she got her revenge that hole would reappear and Regina would need to find another way to fill it. Tink was right, what Regina needs is love and hope. If Regina had done away with Snow she’d have nothing left to hold on to and I can see her turning her efforts elsewhere.

She has had a lot of personal growth in SB and isn’t out for revenge against Snow anymore. So does she have a reason to be so filled with hate anymore? Could she be a good queen now? Would Snow allow her to be the Queen? Would she want to be the queen or would she turn it over to Snow?

If they ever go back to the EF and Regina meets and falls in love with Robin, I don’t think she would even want to be Queen anymore. That hole in heart would be filled with family and love and I think her need for power would be diminished by the power of love. *guitar solo* Thaaaaat’s the power of looooooooooove.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"November 16, 2013 at 6:08 pm #224344PriceofMagicParticipantShould Charming’s next child be a boy or a girl?
Whilst it would be kinder to Emma for the baby to be a boy, and Charming did want a boy, there is so much potential story if the baby turned out to be a girl.
Snow described the relationship she has with Emma as not what she “wanted”. If the baby was a girl, Snow would get the daughter she always wanted.
Emma would feel rejected by Snow, and jealous that her new sibling would be getting the childhood and parents that she should’ve had. Emma would feel that the new girl is replacing her in her parent’s hearts.

I could see it going both way, honestly. I think both create drama for different reasons.
Girl: the “new” daughter that Snow wants. Drama = jealousy BUT on the flip side it would eventually force Snow and Emma to bond as mother and daughter
Son: possibly replaces Emma as heir to the throne. We don’t know *how* succession works in FTL and we’ve talked about it before, but a Prince might have a greater hold on the throne than Emma, who wasn’t raised royal.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"November 16, 2013 at 8:08 pm #224358kfchimeraParticipantRegina as Queen: I think Adam tweeted she was a better mayor than the Charmings (why she was in the office after getting kicked out after she got her magic back, post redemption, she was doing paperwork!). She may actually be a good manager/boss, but she definitely makes Donald Trump look like a pushover. It isn’t you’re fired, it’s…
I borrowed that one off Screwball Ninja’s page, she didn’t put up the source link. I need to be better about sourcing these pictures! Source
I think she likes being in charge now, so I’m not sure she’d want to give it up but that’s an interesting question. Give up magic? She might have to do that, but give up the control of being in charge? I’m not so sure she could.
That leads to another question I keep asking: Are they going to stay Feudal? Let’s call this one the Town-ship.
Would they want to actually employ that concept they’ve learned about called democracy, or are they really just going to go back to bowing to the nobles? Whale was quick to point out that Charming wasn’t his Prince, but no one else seemed to object, even though we know there actually were other Princes like Eric or Princesses like Abigail.
Gender of Charming Baby:
It should be twins, boy and girl!

November 16, 2013 at 9:25 pm #224359JosephineParticipantI love Charming/Rumple bromance. Rumple wants to be the romantic hero so badly, you can tell that he is often exasperated by Charming but he longs to be just as noble. I think Henry should have a grandfather supper. It’d be adorable
Yes. Yes. Yes. We need weekly breakfast dates with Henry and the grandpas at Granny’s (if they’d stay in Storybrooke).
I always wondered if they originally planned something with Mr. Gold and Red based on “the look” in the pilot. It’s just a quick, split-second glance, but those sometimes mean a lot. Evidently, I’m not the only one. Meghan has commented in interviews in the past that she’s interesting if anything went on with during the curse. Of course, that was the pilot and before “Skin Deep” happened and ruined all of us Rumbelle fangirls with feels. Glad they changed their plans, but I do still wonder what Eddy’s and Adam’s original thoughts were about it.

P.S. Notice he never wore that horrible checked shirt again. I wonder if he went home and threw it away after he got his memory back from hearing Emma’s name, wondering what in the heavens his cursed self was thinking by putting it on. 😉
