Aurora: Phillip is in my heart every moment of every day. If there was anything I could do to bring him back, I would.
Cora: Is that so? What if I told you that when a wraith consumes a soul, it merely travels to another realm? But that soul could be brought back to this world? Show me a little courtesy, and I may explain how.

That conversation makes me think that Neverland is the realm to which lost souls go after being consumed by a wraith. We’ve got Lost Boys, eternity (where no one ages), mysterious Shadows that are repelled by light (just like the wraith was repelled by the Charmings as well as by MAP).

Given the slightly eerie similarities between the Wraith and the Shadow, I’m starting to come around to it.

Oh that’s right, it was matches – I knew it was something with fire. Good point slurpeez about the not setting foot on land thing.
Which reminds me of the Davey Jones in POTC 2 & 3 – not being able to set foot on land but once every 10 years. Wonder if they’ll connect anything to that since Hook is named Killian Jones.
Yes, I think Killian Jones is the son of Davy Jones, who was captain of the Flying Dutchman in POTC 2 & 3. Perhaps pirating is a family trade.
Either way the point about not setting foot there is definitely credible. I wonder how we’re going to explore Neverland though if he has to stay on Hook’s ship or in the water…some of it will likely have to wait til next year and even then not sure how if he can’t land anywhere.
Yes, and the fact that none of the Lost Boys can leave once they set foot on land makes NL a kind of prison. Well, Rumple called SB a prison, where time stood still. Time stands still in NL, no one ages, and no one can leave. That does sound eerily like the kind of place lost souls would go once they’re consumed by a wraith. The wraith is controlled by the Dark One. Might not NL also be controlled by him? I hate for this to be true, but it does sound like SB under the vestiges of the dark curse. NL sounds like it’s under some sort of curse, too.

I like it. I’ve also thought that maybe Killian could be royalty, a Lost prince who became a pirate.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"May 7, 2013 at 12:31 am #191742MysteryKat25ParticipantPerhaps both could be true. Maybe his mother is royalty who ran off with a pirate (can’t say I’d blame her other than not liking Davey Jones but if Killian got his charm from Davey then so be it!)
There’s definitely a reason we got a last name so there has to be a connection to Davey Jones – otherwise it’s silly to name him that even though Jones is a common last name.
Also interesting ideas about the connection to the wraith. NL is starting to sound like a prison for lost souls. A little darker than I was expecting but maybe it didn’t stay that way for too long or somebody figures out a way to correct it / free them. Perhaps we’ll get a scene showing MAP and having Phillip wake up after something that happens in NL, like Bae taking on the shadow and freeing everyone but then he choose to stay there until Rumple visits someday to find the squid ink and then he decides that NL isn't safe anymore. I could totally see a father-son relationship like Hook and Jack in “Hook” where, at least for a little bit, having a father figure who is attentive and actually listens is around for so long he almost starts to forget how awful life seemed before and then Rumple shows up, reminding him who he really is only it's not a pleasant thought to him so he flees to our world and Hook helps him hide from Rumple, hence the line later on about him not wanting to be found!

May 7, 2013 at 12:36 am #191746RumplesGirlKeymasterI am really curious to see how MAP finds Neal. I'm assuming Philip is already with them because it's only 42 mins and they have so much to cover already. I'm assuming MAP are going to help Neal get back to SB, or at least try, but of course they won't be able to if SB is no longer there. But if everyone gets to the EF after Emma saves them…………..someone cold tell Neal that everyone went to NL
Ok. Lost my train of thought and went on a tangent.

Don’t worry RG, happens to the best of us.
I think what I meant wasn’t necessarily for this episode, parts of it anyway, but that might ultimately fill in the gaps (I doubt we’ll get all of the Bae in Neverland story in one fail swoop anyway!). Hmm, now I’m messing up timelines in my head too, ugh! I was going to say…Phillip may already be awake but it happens at the same time that something happens in Neverland, but I guess it wouldn't be because of Bae conquering the shadow thing cause that was way past and Phillip is present, BUT if wraithy souls still GO to Neverland, then perhaps something that happens there at some point wakes him up here? If our heroes aren't getting there til the end of the ep or are on their way there and Phillip is seen awake then I have no clue how he gets woken back up. I feel like something would have to happen *wherever the soul goes* in order for that to happen. UNLESS NealFire is able to help them somehow from his end in the EF which begs the major question of HOW?? Now I'm running in circles on a tangent! yikes, I have no idea how ANY of this makes sense but something has to relate to something if that's where the souls go right? So how do we save Phillip before our heroes get to Neverland? OR – that picture of everybody walking around….that was probably between takes….perhaps they needed him back for something else, even just to lay there? I'm not sure how we can't wrap up the MAP stuff soon though cause a) end of season so wrapping back around to the start and b) the actors are busy people for next season too I think – although pilots may not get picked up etc, though we DO still need MAP / Mal backstory filled in too, especially Mal stuff….now I'm confused!

May 7, 2013 at 12:46 am #191754RumplesGirlKeymasterI kinda hope the MAP backstory is exposition instead of seeing it. Taking time out to see MA and Neal (MAN?) rescue Philip's soul seems less important than everything else. And if they explain how Philip's soul was recused it could parallel what we see with Hook and young Bae learning what the shadow is and what the Lost Boys are if the shadow and Wraith are similar.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"May 7, 2013 at 12:47 am #191755HappyEndingsSpectatorI think Bae does that tailsman (Wrath) mark to himself in order to get to NL and by doing that the exchanges his soul for the Prince. ❓
