We know that Michael Socha is joining OuaT next season as a regular… But how will he fit into the story? I believe we have already been told however we didn’t realize at the time.
After Alice got Will’s heart back, he told her that he had a sister called Penelope. They used to live at a house near a lake tgat would freeze over every winter. One day the two of them were down playing by the lake when Penelope fell through the ice and died.
So my theory? Penelope is Elsa. It would make perfect sense given the backstory we have been told already. Perhaps she got her powers when she fell through the ice. We were never told if they found a body after all… And I could definitely see Will returning to Storybrooke if he found out that his sister is alive.

They’ve certainly set up the possibility to go that way, though they’d have to explain why Elsa’s name changed and why Anna doesn’t exist, because people will be expecting a sister named Anna (which is why there’s also been speculation that Elsa could be Ana’s sister), not a brother named Will.
Will’s story with his sister sounds an awful lot like the backstory of Jack Frost from Rise of the Guardians 😛 people have shipped Queen Elsa with Jack for the longest. If I didn’t know better id say Will was being set up to become Jack Frost and be shipped with Elsa. But we know he and Ana reign WL as the White King and Queen so if anything,I won’t be surprised if Will gets ice powers like Elsa and Jack Frost (white king sounds like white witch who casted a winter over narnia like what Elsa did to her land). #MyTheories

But the sisterly love between Elsa and Anna is a defining moment of Elsa’s character, and now after we had the ill version of sisterly love with Zelena and Regina I would very much like to have the contrast to it, two sister influencing each other in a good way.

YES!! I’m more afraid Red Queen may end up being Elsa’s sister because of the name and all. I dont like either idea. Gimme Elsa/Anna as their own characters or I flip all orcas.

It’s possible that Will’s backstory ties in with Elsa in a way we haven’t seen yet. Perhaps Elsa was accidentally responsible for the death of his sister, or failed to save her somehow. Maybe Anastasia was named after Elsa’s Anna like we have Neal junior. Who knows.
It is going to be confusing having two Annas on the show tho.

1.) do we know if Arendelle is actually a part of the Enchantd Forwst or if  it is it’s own land?
2.) Do we know if Will is FROM the Enchanted Forest? We have seen him in it before but he could have come from Arendale before somehow.
3) if Will is from Arendale then perhaps his sister died during Elsa’s little eternal winter thing. And he left Arendale to escape the memories.

So there is a slight difference

Pronunciation can vary depending on region and language. Anna is not a Scandinavian name, it’s quite popular all over Europe. Now they might have a different name history or name origins in the Once universe, but let’s take a look out our world. Anna comes from Hannah (Hebrew) and that is connected with the meaning “favour” or “grace”. While the other Ana we’re talking here about is a short from Anastasia, coming from Anastasios or Anastasius, Ancient Greek name, meaning resurrection. Anna and Ana might sound alike but are not the same name nor even related.
