Anything you can reveal about Once Upon a Time with the premiere getting closer each day? — Steph, via Twitter
NATALIE: Emma will take a surprising leadership role when the ragtag group of friends and foes heads to Neverland. “She’s surrounded by people who have been at each other’s throats for different reasons and are continuing to be,” Jennifer Morrison says. “But we are not going to be able to save Henry unless we all come together, so she has to be the voice of reason to overcome those differences. It’s going to leave room for new alliances that we don’t expect and also new conflicts.”

Not entirely unexpected, for me anyway 🙂 Emma’s the only one who really ties them all together so that only makes sense 🙂 so excited!!!

Also very weird to see that you’ve posted this on the 3rd of September when it’s already the 4th here in Ireland 😀

Makes sense! But still look forward to seeing her step into her new role.

Agreed! It makes the most sense. Hook won’t follow Rumple, Rumple won’t follow Hook. Snowing wouldn’t follow Regina, Regina wouldn’t follow Snowing. Rumple won’t follow Regina, Regina won’t follow Rumple, Snowing wouldn’t trust Rumple or Hook, Hook and Regina won’t trust each other.

Emma is the most neutral of everybody.

All magic comes with a price!

What an excellent way to put it!
Emma has ties to everyone—Snowing parents, she and Regina want the same thing, her budding friendship with Hook, and Rumple is like her slightly more cranky Dumbledore (before he leaves the ship…)

Emma is on a mission to save Henry, and she has a good track record of saving people. Out of everyone on that ship, she is the only one whom everyone else trusts to accomplish the goal and to unite them.
