I actually hope that they do science vs magic again rather than just ”let’s get rid of magic”. I really enjoyed 2B.

That would explain the entry of Jekyll & Hyde …

    Yup. There’s the link.

*sigh* I don’t know. I enjoyed S2B more than most but its’ like they did science vs magic well

I dunno. I feel like all the good will they built up over this half season (from me) is about to go right out the window.

Also, are they implying that Rumple is going after Henry? Cause….*sigh* So much for a better man? (dude, he’s the last link to your SON. Maybe…we don’t go after him even if he’s doing something silly)

I’ve got serious whiplash from Henry’s ambivalent attitude when it comes to magic. One minute he’s anti-magic, but the next moment he’s pro-magic. Henry tried to destory magic in S2, but then he tried to save magic in NL in S3. Henry later became the Author in S4 and started to embrace his powers before he destroyed the quill because “no one should have that much power.” Henry finally got the magical quill back in the UW and decided to use his power as it was always intended: to record history as it unfolded and to help lost souls discover their unfinished business. Yet, he’s suddenly back to being anti-magic? Does his anti-magic attitude include being against all magic, including white magic like Emma’s and his own brand of authorial magic, or just dark magic, like Rumple’s and the Evil Queen’s? I know; my questions are pointless.

well according to that article, is all magic, he thinks magic needs to be banished bc destroys everything. So is S2b henry2.0

Saw this coming a mile away.  And we didn’t really get the whole destroy magic story line (except for like a couple episodes) because they decided to do Pan instead.  This is the story line they would have done in 2b and are doing it now.  Hopefully replacing Tamara and Greg with Jekyll and Hyde.

When it says Rumple is “going after Henry,” it could just mean he, like Regina and Emma, he doesn’t want him to get rid of magic.  It may not be anything malicious.  Although it does say that Regina and Emma are trying to stop Gold from getting to Henry so maybe it is more dastardly than I think.  And I would actually enjoy it if they bring back the prophecy and Gold’s undoing.  I never feel like they fully resolved that.

I think OUAT should get some sort of award for their truly pioneering take on storyline recycling.

Or a Razzie award for TV. Is there one?

I hope that doesn’t happen. Season 2 Henry was such a pain in the backside and so irritating I was kind of hoping he’d blow his hand off with the dynamite because it was such a stupid thing to do and he would learn his lesson the hard way.

All magic comes with a price!

As I said in another thread, I don’t think Regina will become the Evil Queen again by choice. I highly suspect that she is somehow given Jekyll’s potion, and turns into the Evil Queen against her own will. I think the writers miss writing certain characters when they were evil, and can’t help but figure out ways to do so again in the present. We’ve seen them do so with Rumple countless times, and we even saw them do it with Hook at the end of 5A. However, they want to have their cake and eat it too. By using Jekyll’s potion, they aren’t necessarily going against Regina’s character development and long term redemption. This would be like the Spell of Shattered Sight again, but probably more long term. She could also transform back and forth, which could add a new dimension to this.

This is my prediction as well. I think if RH does die Regina will not take it out on Emma and she wont try to get revenge since she has the support and love of her whole family. However, I think the whole reason they are bringing on Jekyll/Hyde is so we can have the EQ again and not have to see Regina’s character regress. She is going to get hit with Jekyll’s potion and then she won’t be able to control the darkness inside her and the EQ will go after Emma for revenge.

I’m also still desperately holding out hope RH’s death isn’t real and that Sean will be back next season. it just seems so unfair to kill off RH..but, I know people on this forum will criticize me for talking about fairness and hope with this show…still a girl can dream!
