I think they may just be ignoring OUATIW which is a shame. Either that or they might pull a “Jafar changes his appearance for reasons” card.

I’ve already suggested this as a very likely possibility. We’ve already had two Ursulas co-existing, so who’s to say we couldn’t have two Jafars? Between Naveen’s lack of availability, having to write around Wonderland’s existing story, and introducing Jafar for those who haven’t watched Wonderland, they may have decided to go that route. Not to mention, the snake staff looks noticeably different than the Amara snake staff from Wonderland. They could come up with some random twist, if they really wanted to. It all seems so strange to me.

That’s it. The only way that I’m going to be able to get my head around this and still enjoy both shows is if I just pretend that Wonderland was a totally different show set in a totally different universe created by totally different people.
