I don’t see why they couldn’t have used a different villain, like that dude from the Aladdin TV show.

Because most people probably aren’t familiar with him. I’m assuming you mean Monzerath, or however your spell it. I vaguely recall reading that the originally goal was that Disney wanted to reveal that he and Aladdin were brothers but then it never made it.

At the end of the day, Jafar is the iconic villain that everybody thinks of, when it comes to Aladdin. Heck, he’s one of the most iconic Disney villains, period. I guess not including Jafar on the parent show just didn’t seem right to Adam and Eddy, whether they could get Naveen back or not. Especially since they’ve already included most of the significant members of Disney’s rogues gallery.

Oded Fehr is a good enough actor that I’m going to give him a try (I do actually really like him in other stuff). But might recommend another go of WL? Once you get to episode 8, it’s really (really) very good and the back half, 9-13, is simply fantastic.

Well now I don’t know if I want to watch it knowing another actor is playing Jafar haha.  Especially if Naveen did a great job with it.  But also, I don’t love the idea of watching a show that got cancelled early.  Was there a definitive ending?  Like did the writers sort of know the end was coming and then sum it up?  I’d hate to give it another try only to want more and be disappointed questions weren’t answered.

It was always meant to be a one season thing. And yes, it got a definitive ending. Everything was all tied up.

    Everything was all tied up.

Then Once Upon a Time ruined it by bringing in Will.

Yes there was a real ending (that was gorgeous and amazing)

(and yes, ignore Will on OUAT and you’re set)

Just pretend that Wonderland takes place during 5A, instead of S2, and you’ll be fine.
