Once Upon a Time‘s Pan is one creepy kid. Do you have any scoop on the history between him and Hook? Or really, any scoop on Hook in general? –Stef
I am told that Hook’s sure-to-illuminate reunion with Pan is “imminent.” As for more Hook scoop, his backstory is also fast-approaching. In that episode, Colin O’Donoghue says, “You’ll see different colors to Hook, and to Killian Jones before he becomes Hook. You begin to understand a bit more why he is so self-absorbed, apart from the whole thing with Milah and why he’s a pirate. [It’s about] how he becomes a pirate, which is brilliant. The guys have done a great job with that.” And speaking of Hook and Milah….I have a question brought up by the Once Upon a Time Season 2 DVD set. Were Milah and Killian actually married, making him Henry’s step-grandfather? –Rita
No, that confusion is the result of a mistake made during the production of a DVD featurette. Series cocreator Adam Horowitz confirms, “As far as show ‘canon’ is concerned, Hook and Milah were never married.” (Glad to have that hot potato off my desk!)http://tvline.com/2013/10/10/bones-wedding-booth-brennan-spoilers/

this makes me so excited. I can’t wait to see Pan/Hook. I am very curious about their relationship. I am glad Colin is happy with his backstory episode.
Keeper of Hook and Emma's smoldering first kiss, a certain Pirate's sauciness, the Evil Queen's snarkiness, Grumpy's gruffness and a drop of true love to make it all go down smooth.

Finally! Good to have official confirmation.

Is he saying that he was “Hook” before Rumple but only became Hook in name with the Crocodile incident.

i read this we see Killian before he lost his hand and learn more about Hook after he lost his hand.
to Colin he may see pre-dark one and post- dark one killian/hook as different people. Some events are so life altering that the person experiencing the events is radically different.

October 10, 2013 at 10:38 pm #215075PheeParticipantRG, I think he was probably just speaking generally about his overall life before meeting Milah.

Seriously can’t wait for this! Really looking forward to seeing who he was in his pre-pirate days, and how that all happened, and what events/people caused him to change. He’s a bit of an enigma right now, but this ep should give us lots of juicy character development for him.
And yes, it’s good to have the marriage question clarified.
October 10, 2013 at 10:43 pm #215077RumplesGirlKeymasterIt will also be really nice to clear up the whole “was Hook lying to Bae” in 222 question? I know some people still doubt that Hook was telling the truth about his father. I think Hook’s father plays directly into why Hook is a pirate.

I’m excited to see the backstory here as well, and I agree that he’s saying Killian Jones as before that moment he lost his hand and swore vengeance. I think there might be a progression to how he took to using the name Hook that happens in NL. Sort of like Regina wasn’t always The Evil Queen but we saw it was a progression of sorts from horrified about a dream strangling Snow to dreaming of horrible things to do to Snow. Rumple started her off, but she did make her choices. So perhaps PP sort of played with Hook in the same way, but to what end? Rumple did it to find Bae, but PP was looking for Henry, and Hook’s path was not very direct in terms of that so it couldn’t be something to do with that.
