I believe it is different from Regina’s usual boxes. It looked like to me that it could possibly come from the palace. Maybe it was a jewelry box belonging to Snow White…which would explain how Mary’s fingerprints were inside the box. Regina could have gotten it and used the animal heart the Huntsman brought to her faking Snow White’s heart. Just an idea. So what do you think????

I like the idea that Snow touched the box in the fairytale land and then it came with the queen to the real world and then the queen used it to frame Mary. I hope they do that.

I was SO expecting it to be Rumplestiltskin’s dagger, until Ruby freaked when she opened it. It didn’t look to me like one of the Queen’s boxes. I can see your jewelry box theory being true.

But it had a heart on the top didn’t it?

I think the EQ may have something to do with it, just to frame MM, but I can’t help but wonder if mr. Gold didn’t plant it in the episode “the heart is a lonely hunter”, where he was in the woods with a shovel gardening. I have other theories about that scene as well. None the less, I think he secretly wants the curse broken and in order to do that, he has to make Emma dig deeper to reveal the FTL. Just a thought.

The heart definitely said EQ to me and I can totally see Regina doing the frame-up of MM. They said it was a human heart but I bet their testing comes back inconclusive as to whose it is. Would killing Kathryn really suit Regina’s purposes? Maybe she figures it will make David hate MM, which it probably will if he believes it.

The box was most definitely one of Regina’s. It had the same logo as Henry Sr.’s grave (SB) and the one on top of the door to the room of hearts (FTL).

Good catch mia. I could tell there was something on top but couldn’t get a good enough look.

I just posted about this in the spoiler forum. I’m totally all about this theory, OK, reality.

I think the box is Regina’s but that Snow White somehow handled it in FTL, and then it somehow ended up in SB. There is another thread with some interesting predictions: https://oncepodcast.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=277
