Regardless if in FTL or Storybrooke…. there are some who have magic, can manipulate it, can make it, can use it without anyone else help.

GOLD/ RUMPLE,,, I do not believe he did not stash some magic somewhere to use in an emergency….

    REGINA / EQ
    JEFFERSON
    MALEFICENT
    THE FAIRIES

ADDENDUM: Emma and Cora also have magic.
Red turning into a wolf considered magic?
how about Nova? the pink fairy. magic?

Others the only magic they can get is if it given to them, by the ones who have the magic.

    SNOW / MM
    GRUMPY
    CINDERELLA
    PINOCCHIO
    Marco
neither David or PC James had magic
    Granny
    Kathryn / Princess Abigail
    THE Dwarfs

    King George / the D.A.

I want to make a list of the HAVES AND HAVES NOT…. SO HERE GOES

Please add to the list as I am at work and have to go back as lunch time is over…. I will add to it as more names come to me.

Now that we’ve seen Regina “make magic from magic” in SB, I’m wondering if the objects in Gold’s shop contain magic, and if so, has he been saving them for last magical attempt to find Bae? Or does he feel the price of using that magic would be too high?

I am beginning to think the things in Gold’s shop no longer have magic because he extracted the magic in order to hoard it. Once the magic is gone he puts the item up for sale…. Always the shrewd business man… besides what else does he have to do … other than bide his time.

King Midas whether he likes it or not has magic. Everything he touches turns to gold. I don’t know if its magic or a curse.

I think his touch is a curse.

    Totally like this idea.

oh, I like the idea, too, of hoarding magic. Before, I always thought that Gold’s shop was full of objects so out-priced that nobody would want to buy them, therefore, he can keep them like a hoarder. But Henry did buy the bell for MM from him. And we have seen him in previous episodes working on objects and doing something to them. Didn’t Regina make a comment about “whatever you do here all day”. If so, he’s got enough magic to travel the world search for Bae.

But on that theory, he’d only be extracting the magic post-Emma coming to Storybrooke because the creators confirmed he didn’t have any memories until hearing her name. If that’s what he’s doing he’s been really busy in his office these past couple months. Maybe all that stuff that August saw in his office hasn’t been processed, yet.

I’m on board with this too. He was rubbing the genie lamp in one episode. Every object in the shop either had magic or was magical at some point but this would also mean that SB in not a land without magic. Jefferson and Regina proved that using the hat to aquire the apple Snow bit and Emma in Jefferson’s house. Not to mention the clock restarting, the mine collapsing, etc., etc., since Emma showed up.
