He must be the Wizard from OZ or the scare crow from OZ.

While I like the idea why MUST he be those things? Nothing about the few pics we have of him suggest that. And so far, he seems to be a once only character.

Well if he isn’t the Wizard or the Scare Crow then he must be Emma’s old buddy that trained her to find people.

I like all three ideas, though I’m leaning toward the old friend one more just because thus far he has only been in one episode, so far as we can tell. He seems very tied to THIS world and not a mythic one. Which I think is nice for Emma, something that isn’t tied up in all the fairy tale stuff.

Messanger bearing gifts from a wealthy benefactor.  Emma is an heir to her original foster father’s estate.  She does live in a VERY expensive New York apartment. Which I doubt a  bail bonds woman could afford.

Well if Neal came from FTL and lived in NY, others could too if they had to escape something.

She was a bail bonds person in the pilot too. And her apartment in Boston was fairly swanky. And she was wearing some killer clothing. I think it might pay better than we think.

He was Neal’s best friend. He gives Emma the keys to Neal’s apartment. He tells her that Neal never stopped loving her. He advises her to believe, and to search for Neal.

I am sure Neal’s apt is rented and she was only in the apt for a few minutes so I don’t think it is a friend of Neal’s but maybe.

We do know from the promo that she goes back to Neal’s apartment at some point.
