Pretty sure that clip of Emma in the apartment with the dreamcatcher was simply a recycled clip pulled from the episode “Manhattan”, and it is not a new clip. That promo had a few other old clips mixed in, too.
Like others have said, it’s definitely a new shot. It’s staged completely differently, (In Manhattan her hand comes up behind the dream catcher as she’s walking towards it, in this new shot, you only see the blur of her arm as she’s reaching up when she’s already standing there), she’s dressed differently (the blur of her arm is red, and she’s wearing a red jacket in 312, was wearing a black one in Manhattan), it’s lit completely differently, (was a shadow covering half her face in Manhattan), and someone noticed just the other day that in the promo clip, there are a few busted strings in the bottom left corner of the dream catcher, (perhaps because it’s been left in an apartment that’s been uninhabited for over a year now, so the whole place may well be set up to look uncared for and unkempt). Basically, there’s no way it can be a recycled clip from Manhattan.
Here’s the wider shot that shows the hole in the bottom left corner…

Ohh, good call. It could be. There’s a ton of stuff in that apt that’s from her SB life…I wouldn’t be shocked if the dreamcatcher somehow ended up there.

The stuff in her apartment though is stuff that Emma had in her possession originally. The dreamcatcher was never hers, it was always Neal’s. I don’t know how a set of false memories could transplant a dreamcatcher to an entirely new location.

If it was hanging in Emma’s own apartment window and is something she sees every day, it would make no sense that she’s looking at it now all wide eyed and mouth agape like it’s something from a past life that she hasn’t seen in ages. It would make no sense to me for Emma to have the dream catcher in her apartment anyway. We know it was Neal who had kept it, and though Emma got new memories, history didn’t change, so Neal is still the one who kept the dream catcher, and it’s still always been in his apartment. Also, if it were something hanging in Emma’s own apartment, we’d have seen a shot of it at the end of 311, but we didn’t.
The most logical explanation IMO is that Hook gives her Neal’s address, and she goes there, (we can have a parallel shot of her picking the lock, to go with how Rumple picked the lock in Manhattan), sees their old dream catcher, and that’s part of what makes her believe that Hook isn’t just a raving loon, he is actually someone who knows Neal, so perhaps she should listen to what he’s got to say after all.

We actually see the windows in Emma’s NYC apartment very clearly. Henry is in front of them watering plants. The dreamcatcher isn’t there.

Wasn’t in her bedroom window either.
Emma’s windows are huge, no frame at a lower height to hang the dream catcher from. Neal’s window was smaller, and had the section that pushed up, which allowed for the frame it hung from at that height just above eye level with the window open in Manhattan, and a bit lower, more like actual eye level with the window closed in the promo shot.
December 27, 2013 at 11:19 pm #233983HappyEndingsSpectatorHmmm, thanks for the photos again Phee—But Emma could be in her Bedroom that has windows like that or she could be in a shop and sees the dream catcher. For 1 year Neal’s apt is still available I don’t think so.
December 27, 2013 at 11:21 pm #233985Jenna_BParticipantI’m fine with it being in Neal’s apt but they better have a good excuse as to why Neal still has an apt 1 year later!! That part’s driving me nuts! If he’s renting, his stuff would’ve been in the garbage 10 mos earlier and if he owns it, it’d be sold for pennies on the dollar a year later.
There are some things in Emma’s apt that wouldn’t necessarily have been in her possession – the chains for one. I don’t think she stole those suckers before going back down the beanstalk. Could the dreamcatcher be in Henry’s room?

It may be on the market but it doesn’t mean it is rented. They could easily go look at the apartment.
