If he is unfortunately a boyfriend that is just something we’ll have to deal with since its something we can’t change. I hope he’s not a new boyfriend though for obvious reasons. Though it wouldn’t suprise me if they did that.Right now i’m glad that whoever his character is, is only in one ep for the time being. Granted they said they could bring him back for more but at least right now its only one ep.
I want to see how keeping Henry in the fake memories she has changed Emma but i’d prefer to see how it changed her without it having to deal with a new guy in her life.

This is another reason why I don’t think he is “real.” I think the Curse created him to be Emma’s BFF and help her think that she has a normal life. So to Emma he’s “Henry” her BFF from her teenage years so stuck by her and she named her son after him. But really he’s a curse created conscience who will help her get her memories back.
Cracky? Yes.
But I kinda like it. The curse created A LOT. A job, a house with furnishings, stories inside Emma’s head about why she wears shoe laces on her wrist.

A don’t for a minute believe this, but……it’s sooooo boring with no show on Sunday.
Can someone give me a quick summary of what we DO know about the guy? I’m on my phone and can’t skim through all the pages as id wish.
We know he is in our land, in New York. We know they have been calling him Henry between shooting. We know hr has a connection with Emma and that he kisses er on the forehead. I would like to point out out that Glinda kisses Dorothy on the forehead to cast a protection spell on her in the book series. Throwing that out there for discussion.
Any thin else we know?

That must be he real name not the name on the show, I thought they said they don’t do time jumping so I really doubt this Henry grown up.
Does anyone find it weird that if Chris’ character is Emmas boyfriend that he’d be ok with her taking off somewhere he’s never heard of with Hook.

Depends on what she’s telling him is going on. She might not mention Hook and he might not see Hook because no one has shown us BTS shots of Mystery Guy and Hook have they?
She might say her family is in trouble and Hook never factors into it at all. Mystery Guy might be someone she’s come to rely on as a friend in her new life, and who she trusts to watch Henry, whether there’s something or potentially something romantic going on with them. For all we know, Henry is not returning to the EF/SB because he cannot because of a magical reason like the original curse had a stipulation that Regina could never see the one she loves most again to reverse it.So let’s say that’s part of Emma’s new tragedy. Hook shows up to tell her that the rest of her family is in danger and that he has a way for her to go help them, but of course, Henry cannot go because Regina is there. Emma calls Mystery Guy and asks him to become Henry’s legal guardian (and because she isn’t sure she’ll ever return, tells Henry to mind Uncle ___ whatever his name is, adding that guy to the family tree. ) Mystery Guy thinks she’s being dramatic, but he’s a good friend/boyfriend/potential boyfriend and gives her a some-what pacifying kiss on the head in return. Because, really what do you do if someone says they trust you with their kids life, but out of nowhere are being dramatic and acting like they’ll never see them again, but can’t tell you what the trouble is all about?
More cynically though, I kind of wonder about that scenario simply because Gilmore has hit that pre-teen age of “Walt” territory (if you saw Lost). I’m just curious if they’re going to do a combination of “Walting” him (LOST reference) and if you’ve ever heard of the Cosby show, “Rudy”ing him with Roland, the new younger, cuter kid model. I like Henry as a character, and feel he is in many ways the heart of the show, but the Winter Finale really did have a well, Finale feel to it.
Something about the new curse, things the writers have said, just make me feel like they’re going to try to set a completely new tone somehow, and moving away from #SaveHenry might be part of it. That’s nothing I WANT them to do, but I just worry they would. Henry wouldn’t be the first or last kid character that went from a central position to being permanently off-screened for various reasons, like growing up.

True but I think they time jumped a year for that very reasons. They know Jared grew quite a bit so they had Emma and Henry living on their own for a year so that now Jared and Henry match more in age.
