If the Stranger is Pinocchio how does he know everything he knows? How can he add stories to the book? I just think it is a complication if August is a character that left fairytale land ahead of everyone as to how he knows what he knew about the book and enough to add pages. I just think he should be something else.

Whoever August turns out to be, one thing that I hope the writers do is to reunite Bae and his father. ..though I suspect that won’t happen til the last season–it’ll be a high point of the series, sooo emotional and cathartic. Coming at OUAT from Lost fandom, I don’t care so much that all our questions get answered, as long as we get satisfying resolutions for the characters, and for me, that includes reunions between Bae and Rumple and Belle and Rumple.

I agree. I’ve learned to be patient when it comes to actual answers via Lost. 😆 The reunions of Rumpel and Belle and Rumpel and Bae are what I’m most looking forward to as well. Rumpel is my favorite character and his episodes are always so rich in history, mythology and character development. His reunion with Bae and Belle will definitely be the high point of the series for me.

But you’re right. Lost had a tendency to make the audience fall in love with a particular character and then suddenyl kill them off. Boone, Charlie, Mr. Echo, Lizzie, Anna Lusia, Locke. These writers can be so cruel sometimes. Hopefully, Rumpel will be ok. He’s a key piece of the puzzle and he also happens to be one of the most powerful characters on the show. So, I’ not too worried about his survival rate.
Well i would be worried about Belle’s survival rate more then Rumpel’s at this point. Though if i were to pick a character to die by the end of the season i would pick Sidney. Though we may not get any more deaths this season.
When the title for eps 19 first came out, I thought for sure I read something that said The Return of the Witch, but when I went back to inquire all the titles had been shortened to The Return. Eps 20 is now The Stranger. I also read a summary that referred to the EQ hiring a magician, I am wondering if this will be Merlin, and I am wondering if he might be the stranger. I can't find that spoiler now. Did anyone else read that?

The magician EQ hires is the Mad Hatter. I have theory that the Mad Hatter is actually Rumpel's son Bae, but I won't go into that right now. 😆 And I've also heard conflicting titles for episode1x19. There's “State of the Witch” and “The Return.” If these titles have anything to do with each other, then I'd say that Regina's mother penetrates through Fairytale land into Storybrook. Just a theory.
Yes, the man of magic I was referencing in a summary was in the Hat Trick Episode. Hadn't thought of the possibility of Regina's mother coming to SB. I am trying to remember if anything was said of her previously at all, particularly in episode 2. Also have considered The Return also being Kathryn found or comes back to SB:)or Perhaps the Mad Hatter or whoever returns from their errand for the EQ. Or perhaps the Stranger is someone in FTL who returns from the errand they were on like in the story the Golden Bird. I am looking forward to hearing more about these later episodes.
