Spoilers about Ep 19.
Ep 19 is called The Return and it is about Rumpel and Bae and what happens to him. I think we know the Blue Fairy is in it as well though i am not sure in what capacity.
[adrotate group="5"]March 9, 2012 at 8:13 pm #138498SnickerdoodleParticipantSo, The Return could be about Bae returning and Eps. 20 is called The Stranger. Perhaps the two will tie in together to confirm the theory of so many that the Stranger is Bae
April 9, 2012 at 4:36 am #141468geek123ParticipantI say the stranger is WALT DISNEY
I will stick to this theory even after the say who he really is.
Do not be a hater when you all find out that I was correct. LOL
April 9, 2012 at 11:41 am #141478mujieParticipantThe Return is Kathryn returrning, but I believe August is Baelfire because TV shows don't believe in coincidences.
If August is Baelfire, how did he avoid aging all that time? That’s why I also believe he’s Pinocchio.
I finally believe he’s Henry’s father. I thought of it when rewatching episode 9. Of course Emma wouldn’t mention Henry’s father to Mary Margret if he wasn’t going to return some time in the series or in the same episode.
Also, aren’t the Brothers Grimm and Hans Christian Andersen dead and not fairytale characters. That’s just people who think it would be a good plot twist. Does anyone really August is them.
And the opening titles. They changed “Only one knows the truth” to “Who knows the truth?” Because now we know Mr Gold does too. And the Mad Hatter, ish, etc. They also changed “Only one can break the spell” to “Who can break the spell?” What if the Blue Fairy was lying when she said the tree can only hold one? Or she meant one fully-grown adult, so Pinocchio and Emma…
And that’s how August remembers.
April 9, 2012 at 11:59 am #141481SnickerdoodleParticipantFound this blog about the Stranger’s necklaces and also a post underneath of a theory about the stranger being Merlin. Didn’t want to take credit for something I didn’t write, thus the link.
http://ouatv1.blogspot.com/2012/02/once-upon-time-strangers-necklaces.html (THIS IS NOT A SITE WHERE THEY COVER/ BLACK OUT *SPOILERS* IN THEIR WRITING. DO NOT GO THERE IF YOU WANT TO STAY SPOILER-FREE)The theory of him being Merlin kind of interests me. In Sword in the Stone Merlin had Wart for an apprentice. What if Bae were to become Merlin’s apprentice in our story? What if Bae gave Merlin/August Rumpel's knife? What if Bae has been working with Merlin to break Rumpel’s Curse? What if the reason we see August holding the knife up at Mr. Gold in the promo is because he is waiting for Mr. Gold to wield some kind of magic? Maybe we will find out in one of these last episodes if there is any FTL magic that has crossed over to SB.
The only other ideas that register interest with me right now are August being Bae, which I’m leaning toward, “not”, at the moment because of recently reading some interview info that doesn’t seem to favor this idea, but I admit it makes a lot of sense to me to a certain extent; and some aspect of Peter Pan, either a lost boy or Peter Pan himself that has now grown up (This is my favorite theory about August). I suppose he could be Pinnochio, but for some reason I do not like that idea. So, if they make him Pinnochio, I hope they do a convincing job of it. I am however, leaning toward Pinnochio being the 7 year old who finds Emma on the side of the road.
I know several people keep saying stuff about the Peter Pan copyright, but everything I have read about the copyright and the US doesn’t seem like it would be that hard to work out, especially since Disney has already done Peter Pan. http://neverpedia.com/pan/Ownership_of_the_Peter_Pan_works
So I keep thinking that K & H are just trying to keep the PP idea at bay so it will surprise us all, but we will know soon enough, I suppose 😮
April 9, 2012 at 12:02 pm #141482midnight drearyParticipantWe need to keep in mind that the enxt episode will heavily feature the fairies. Fairies as in possible Neverland fairies. That would easily explain why Bae hasn't aged.
April 9, 2012 at 12:03 pm #141483hjbauParticipantI don’t think that it would be hard to work out. I think they would just have to make a contract with the hospital which they could do. Disney has made like four Peter Pan movies or something. They just have to work something out and pay them money.

Wait, you believe August is Henry’s father? Don’t you think Emma herself would have recognized him? They acted as if they had met for the first time. and not just in front of other people, but while they were alone too.

Well, it was 10 years. He may have changed his look, and name. Plus, Emma might have forgotten how he looked. She seemed to hate Henry’s father from how she spoke about him in episode 9. And as noticed, August and Emma do seem to have a loving relationship and he does act like a father to Henry.
April 9, 2012 at 4:44 pm #141517angiebelleParticipantI still think Emma would have recognized August if he were Henry’s father. And why would Henry’s father have anything to do with the fairytale world?
