ParticipantSo if Bae fell through the portal for 100-150 years, why didn’t that happen to anyone else? It seems like Hook immediately ended up in NL and when Hook and Cora traveled by bean, they came to Storybrooke right away as well.

KeymasterTaking up the “sewing” idea, which is interesting. Maybe he’s holding them captive until he finds the right one to join with, not just become a part of, but actually inhabit the body of another person. Maybe he wants “form”.

ParticipantSo ideas on the trapping of the boys: (I forget who said what…just trying to sum up some of the ones I’ve seen on this and other threads….
1) Shadow is like any young child can be, immature and unaware of the needs of others not wanting companions to leave, even if the companions miss their homes
2) Looking for the right “fit” to attach itself and have form, but can’t test it out yet so it keeps them all
3) A creature that was ordered to find Bae, but not specifically given limits or instructions not to harm others so it just doesn’t bother to return any of the boys
4) A creature that feeds off the sorrow of all the Lost Boys

Are you suggesting the Shadow possesses Bae? If he does, that would sorta mean that Bae is both Peter Pan and not Peter Pan at the same time. Bae would only be acting like Peter because Peter is controlling his body. It would also explain why Bae would even call himself Peter Pan. Adam & Eddy would also technically be correct that we won’t see Peter Pan himself until Season 3, since if this theory is true we would likely only see Peter in the flesh then. I’m torn on which theory to side with, this or the Hook is Peter theory….

.
Time is linear on this show. We know from Welcome to Storybrooke, that was 1983. Add 28 years to that, present day is 2011.
I don’t know how the years would have worked in fairytale land but I took 2011 – 150 = 1861. Which I can’t remember exactly when Peter Pan was supposed to take place, but I think it roughly would have been around that time. I’d like to know how old Neal is supposed to be because we know when Bae goes through the portal, he’s 14 but we also don’t know how long he was in Neverland for before coming back to our world.
I hope that makes sense.

I really don’t like the Hook is PP theory because I think Hook is going to end up being the hero of NL to the Shadow’s more antagonistic character. Also, if the Shadow possess Bae and he and Hook square off at some point, it might give reason for why Bae left NL after 250+ years and came home. He was afraid of Hook returning. And maybe when he went through a portal to our world again the Shadow left him and is sitll in NL to this day waiting for a new boy to take. (OMGold…Henry)

SpectatorI do think Hook is the good guy instead of PP, if you go with that theory of attaching the shadow to a boy that would mean that Rumble didn’t create it

ParticipantI don’t think Rumple created the shadow. The possession idea is really interesting. I also think Hook is more of a “good guy” in NL.
The time thing is what is really getting to me at the moment. I don’t think Bae was in the portal for 100-150 years like some have suggested only because it doesn’t seem to have that effect on anyone else. That and A and E saying that no time travel occurred. But I do think that time relative to our world passes differently in NL. Wendy was gone for only 1 night but by the way she talked it sounded like she was there for a whole day and night. So let’s say that while 1 day passes here, 2 days pass in NL. I think that would explain Rumple saying he was approx. 300 years old and Neal/Bae going from FTL to 19th century London to NL to our world. At least it makes sense to me. 😀
