No he said fairy magic doesn’t mix well with his magic. Magic made from true love is different then either.
I really think that Rumpel’s plan was to have Emma come to town and break the memory curse and the keeping everyone stuck in Storybrooke curse. Then he wants to find Bae. And then he is going to kill Emma so that he can return to fairytale land.
Uh…what? Since when does Emma have to die in order to return to Fairytale land?

Yeah, I don’t remember that part either. 😕

So, I think Rumpel will continue to do villainous things, but he’ll be indriectly allied with Emma. Of course, it won’t be out of the goodness of his heart, but it’ll be because he needs her for a future plan.HOPE!
I do think he has another job for Emma, and that is to track Bae down: Snow&Charming were good at finding each other, and Emma even made a career out of finding people.
Last season really did buildup Rumple and Emma being indirect allies. I keep thinking about the scene from True North where Rumple asks for forgiveness and Emma agrees to tolerance: that’s their alliance on the better days. It could be strengthened however, by how much both hate Regina.July 12, 2012 at 12:07 am #151100lilredParticipantWho says there anything to even go back to? Or that people would want to go back? Rumple’s pretty comfortable in Storybrooke. Once he has Bae, he will have power, wealth, and his son (and Belle now too!)
July 12, 2012 at 12:09 am #151101hjbauParticipantYou just said it. If Emma dies then the curse is broken and everyone goes back. Which really makes me think that Rumpel is going to try and kill Emma at some point because he will want to go back.

No, if Emma dies then the curse is broken. No one said anything about everyone going back to Fairytale land. That’s just your speculation.
July 12, 2012 at 12:12 am #151104a_desperate_soulParticipantI don’t think Emma has to die in order to return to Fairytale land. If that was the case then why aren’t they back in Fairytale land now? If the plan was for the curse to be broken and then everyone would magically be transported back to Fairytale land, then they would already be there. Besdies, we don’t even know of there’s anything to go back to.
July 12, 2012 at 12:19 am #151107midnight drearyParticipantWe also keep forgetting that this curse is about Bae. It was created so that Rumpel could find him. Personally, I think the only way everyone will return to Fairytale land (if there’s anything to go back to) is for Rumpel to find Bae. That’s the reason why the curse created. Finding Bae is its main objective. So, something tells me that no one is going anywhere until Rumpel gets his hands on Bae.

Exactly. There’s a reason why everyone is still in this world. There’s a reason why no one was able to jump realms and return to Fairytale land. And it’s because the curse’s main mission has not been completed yet. It hasn’t found Bae. And I think it’s smart that Rumpel designed it that way. He probably designed it so that no one would be able to leave this world until he finds Bae. I think that’s the key to returning to Fairytale land.
The fact that Emma’ true love’s kiss didn’t return everyone to Fairytale land kind of hints at this possibility. Emma isn’t the only savior out there. There’s another key to this puzzle, and it’s probably Bae.
July 12, 2012 at 12:34 pm #151229hjbauParticipantWhy would Bae have to do with it? That makes no sense. Rumpel said that to break the curse Emma has to die. What is breaking the curse if not everyone returning to fairytale land? I thought that was what we were talking about.
