Zelena’s inferiority complex and mommy issues remind me of Jimmy Cagney in White Heat. Who knows maybe Zelena will end on top of the world?

Zelena did say Cora had her before she got involved with the royals, so I think that automatically takes out Rumple as a possible love child between him and Cora. Still, if the green skin isn’t genetic, that only other possibility, is that she was cursed green?
New theory about Zelena’s baby daddy, this would be twisted but typical Once, her father is Leopold, Snow’s dad. Which, we already know that we will be seeing him again this season as a young man, courting Eva but now, I’m thinking, it will be a similar situation. Where Cora probably had an affair with Leopold, like maybe he was a playboy prince and Zelena was the result of a one-night stand or something. But something changed him and became the good king, probably falling for Eva.
It would also explain an upcoming title, Bleeding Through. Which could also mean, blood ties between multiple families. Snow’s family (through her father) and Cora, from Regina..
Note: if my theory has already been talked about, please feel free to ignore me. Lol.

Please forgive me if people have already talked about this for ages!
It occurred to me that Zelena’s entire character profile is centered around one emotion- envy. Her entire motivation, the entire reason behind her machinations is grounded in jealousy, the belief that she was robbed of something she deserved. In many ways, she shares this with Cora who believed that it was not a sibling, but the world that caused her to lack that which she felt she deserved.
This is contrasted by Regina, who (until very recently) was motivated wholly by pride. She was raised by Cora who insisted that her daughter was meant to be great, meant to be Queen. In all of Regina’s upbringing she was led to believe that she was the most exceptional person that existed, and that the entire world was there for the taking if she was bold enough to take it. Her character in FTL looked down on everyone else, finding them beneath her.
The art direction of the show has gone out of its way to pit the two against one another visually (lots of red versus green, a slight color shift from Regina’s usual black and purple) but it’s interesting for me to see the way these two characters contrast each other emotionally. While I have no doubts that Regina will indeed triumph over her sister in the end, it will be because she is able to get over her pride, and accept the help of others around her.
Of course, this now has me wondering what other deadly sins the other cast members might embody. 🙂
