According to Wetpaint, Once Upon A Time In Wonderland will air in the fall of 2013, on Thursdays at 8pm EST (before Grey’s Anatomy)
Get ready, Oncers. Come this fall, you’ll have two shows to obsess over on the ABC 2013-2014 line-up! ABC announced today that its Once Upon a Time spin-off, Once Upon a Time in Wonderland, will premiere in Fall 2013 — before Grey’s Anatomy! Originally, the series was supposed to air during OUAT’s scheduled mid-season break, but it looks like those plans have changed.
Once Upon a Time in Wonderland will air on Thursday nights at 8 p.m. EST this fall. The series, created by Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, tells a “tale of a strange new land that exists on the other side of a rabbit hole.”
The spin-off will be set in Victorian England and follow Alice (Sophie Lowe) as she ventures down the rabbit hole. But when she returns and tells her family about all the wonderful things she saw — an invisible cat, a hookah smoking caterpillar, a white rabbit, etc. — everyone thinks she’s insane! So her doctors aim to cure her with a treatment that will make her forget everything, but as much as Alice tries to put the experience behind her, she can’t help but recall the painful memory of the genie she fell in love with and lost forever — the handsome and mysterious Cyrus (Peter Gadiot).
Thankfully, “the sardonic Knave of Hearts (Michael Socha) and the irrepressible White Rabbit (John Lithgow) arrive to save her from a doomed fate.” Together the trio will go back to Wonderland, where anything is possible.
And Oncers, don’t worry: Once Upon a Time will air at its normal time, Sundays at 8 p.m. EST on ABC

Looks like our predictions about OUATinWL being a mini series were correct. According to Adam, 13 episodes were ordered.
Isn’t 13 what most new shows get, though? They had a lot of confidence to pick up OUATinWL with only 19 minutes of the pilot filmed, sure, but that’s still a tough timeslot for ABC in the recent years, so it’s natural they’d want to wait and see if the show does well.
Also, I believe I’ve heard that a Q&A on the show’s page in Facebook revealed that another season could be made if people liked it. After the original idea to use this to bridge the two halves of ONCE’s season 3 was dropped, who knows what else of the original concept hasn’t also changed as well?May 24, 2013 at 1:15 pm #195932obisgirlParticipant
Once Upon a Time Wonderland is second Most Anticipated Drama next season, right behind S.H.I.E.LD. 😀May 24, 2013 at 1:32 pm #195940RumplesGirlKeymaster
That’s good to know! The time slot is still worrisome (TBBT is a ratings darling and we’ll never beat it but hopefully we can come out in second)"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"May 24, 2013 at 2:17 pm #195952
Thanks! That trailer certainly changed a lot of minds about an ONCE spin-off this early. I for sure am stoked about this, I’m probably craving more information about OUATinWL than OUAT atm! 😆May 24, 2013 at 2:53 pm #195962obisgirlParticipant
The trailer changed my mind too. I already have a folder set up in my Photobucket account for icons. 😀May 24, 2013 at 9:02 pm #196014KebParticipant
