That line was brilliant!

Rumple and Cora frenching like a couple of French people at a frenching festival!
Watching the smooching was kinda rough, so I appreciate this description of it to lessen the tension a tad. 😆

She HAS to be using him. HAS TO. She can’t love him.
It can’t be love from her perspective, because kissing her has no affect on his curse. Honestly, I’d expected the relationship to have been one sided in the opposite direction. Maybe she was a safe option for him, if he just wanted to feel close to someone again, because he’d been lonely for a long time. There aren’t many people in FTL who would want to be in the same room as him, but she enjoyed his company, and let him get close, and because he knew she was no threat of twoo wuv that would break his curse, he let himself get close to her.
In other news, Eva was a b!tch, but I kinda like that they’ve done that, because it makes her doom all the more tragic. I’m guessing that whatever plays out with Cora is what forced Eva to change her ways. So Eva became good because of Cora, then Cora killed her for having been horrible.
Loved Nealfire’s little, “That’s me,” when Henry was all, “my dad.” Talk about an awkward first meeting with the extended family.
Also, a little comment that doesn’t really have anything to do with anything, but I kinda wish they’d blast them with big heaters when they’re filming outside, because all the steam coming off everyone’s breath kinda messes up the scene. I wanna be able to see everyone’s face properly when they’re conversing.

Why would he want Cora to marry Prince Henry without love? Because he needed Regina. Maybe he figured Cora would be more likely to part with her daughter if she was not the product of true love.
I think you are right! 😮 he was probably manipulating the situation, he probably saw he needed Regina. If he saw Snow White he probably knew about Regina. It would go with how he usually screws himself over and things tend to go wrong. Hence now Cora AND Regina are trying to kill him. Oh our Rumple, when will he learn. 🙄

I don’t know. There was a spoiler Slurpeez posted on one of the threads today that described Rumple as smitted with Cora. I think he does care for her. He set out to manipulate the situation and ended caring for her. It’s her I’m not convinced of.

Yup, my thought as well. So Jane Espenson.
And as if we hadn’t been already dying to see this episode, after these sneak peeks the week seems even longer.
I’m with you, King Arthur.
Rumple and Cora are using and manipulating each other, they have been and they still are. And sorry, always thought that Rumple is the real big bad guy of the show, so I am biased, but I wouldn’t be so sure about how deep his affection for Cora goes here. The line “when you see the future then there is irony everywhere” after Cora said “well, brides have to be snow white” gave me the creeps (besides that it was funny).
I love the character of Rumplestiltskin, love what Robert Carlyle makes of him, but that doesn’t mean I feel any sympathy or much sympathy for the character as he is. Some people might believe there is another huge puppet master pulling even Rumple’s string but I do not and so I do see him as the big bad guy of the show, always have and nothing changed my mind about it so far. I see nothing in the sneak peek to change my mind either.
But doesn’t mean that I now begin to consider that Cora was just some other poor woman seduced by Rumple into darkness and dark magic. Nope, Cora is hungry for power and ready to do whatever it takes. Yes, she was treated awfully by Eva (what a brat, some change and gives some idea, why she so insisted to raise Snow differently, Eva obviously at some point learned a lesson) and even more so by King Xavier, and I guessed as much after past Sunday’s episode, but that neither explains and nor excuses everything.
As I see it, and I know particular Rumbelle fans might not like what I am going to say, Cora and Rumple deserve each other. Lock those two up in some well fortified isolated tower on a far a way island and let them fight it out there, and everybody else might have the chance for a happy ending.
And yes,go David, fight for the soul of your wife!
edit: Wow, you all type faster today than I can think 😮 😆
¯\_(?????? ?)_/¯

Yeah, he does look smitten but it doesn’t mean he wasn’t using the situation, he might of thought that he was helping her out. He did it with Regina, he knew she wanted revenge so he gave her the curse that he also wanted, sure he was not smitten with Regina, but doesn’t he tend to mess things up even with the people he cares about. 🙄

This is probably why she knew just how to rope Hook into being her little helper. She was driven by a need for vengeance against Eva, so she totally knows how Hook’s brain works in his desire for vengeance against Rumple, which made it easy for her to use him.
