In other news, Eva was a b!tch, but I kinda like that they’ve done that, because it makes her doom all the more tragic. I’m guessing that whatever plays out with Cora is what forced Eva to change her ways. So Eva became good because of Cora, then Cora killed her for having been horrible.
I am tired of the inconsistency of the characterizations… a person does not become GOOD for no reason after being such a snot… never see it in real life … cannot see it in stories… NEVER HAPPENS… PETTY PEOPLE do not improve.
PLEASE OUAT be more consistent in your characterization !!!! Use the same writers for the same characters.

HOT AS HELL!! I was never a Rumbeller and I don't like that ship, but I think I'm going to ship Corumpel! There is that great alchemy between them that I don't see in the Rumbelle. Oh you Rumpel, sexy beast!
Gasoline, meet flame! 😆 😆 😆

I love how in the 3rd one ruby is just randomly there to help with rumple. That will probably be her only significance in the episode
Oh, I don’t know. I can see Ruby’s being tasked with finding Cora’s heart with her wolfy smell. They certainly can’t go looking for it while fighting Regina and Cora.

.Well, Nonnie to be fair we don’t know what happened to Eva after this incident. Something changed in her and maybe we’ll get that story this week or maybe not. But it’s also what OUaT does. We’ve seen how Rumple went from a humble spinner just trying to protect his son to the Dark One. We’ve seen how Regina went from a young woman in love who was genuinely GOOD to the Evil Queen. And last week we saw how Young Snow went from being a brat to being the Snow White we all love.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"March 7, 2013 at 1:40 pm #177860RumplesGirlKeymasterSo after a good night’s sleep I come back to these sneak peaks with the following:
–I agree that Rumple is probably manipulating the situation like crazy. It’s what he does. I am a HUGE Rumple sympathizer (best you could never guess…) but I do know that he prays on people’s weaknesses and their desires to get what he wants. However, I still believe that he feels something more for Cora than just “she’s an end to my means.” I think a lot of the emotion he expressed to Belle in Skin Deep about how unlovable he is, is going to stem from his interactions with Cora. I still maintain that she’s going to break his heart. Their feud might indeed have happened after she refuses to give Regina to him, but I think it’s much deeper than that."He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"March 7, 2013 at 1:50 pm #177864SlurpeezParticipant@NONNIE wrote:

I couldn’t disagree more. People can and do change for the better. While you may not intend it, your outlook condemns people to live vapidly forever, yet I have witnessed people I know change for the better as they mature and learn some hard life lessons. Something must have happened between The Miller’s Daughter and The Queen is Dead to transform Princess Eva from a haughty princess into a magnanimous queen. Something tragic could have happened to Eva, just like Eva’s own untimely death changed Snow White from a vain princess into a compassionate leader.

Agreed. Maybe it was her marriage to Leopold, who seems like a really nice guy. Or maybe it was the birth of Snow. Or maybe she even changed after Cora became Queen and she realized she didn’t want to be like Cora, but wanted to be sweet instead.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"March 7, 2013 at 1:58 pm #177866spitweetParticipantMay I just say how BRILLIANT the lines ”Well a bride has to be snow white” and Rumple’s answer ”When you see the future, there’s irony everywhere” were ?!? LOVE it !!!!
Did anyone catch the ”Stupid foolish girl” line parallel ? Old Cora said the same thing to Aurora when she stood up to her !
Edit :
Also – Cora says she is fifth in line to become Queen…. Anyone has any theories about who’s before her ?March 7, 2013 at 2:11 pm #177867MyrilParticipant@NONNIE wrote:

.I love consistency in story writing too, but I don’t see inconsistency of characterization here (yet). Probably because of different life experience and maybe life view. People do change, not always to the better, not always to the worse, sometimes they just change a little in neither good nor bad way, but they change. Sometimes learn from mistakes. I’ve seen major changes in people happening, it’s not the thing I normally expect to happen, it’s rare, but it’s not impossible.
Furthermore, people have different faces and sometimes conflicting personalities, we are not consistent in our selves. People can appear quite different in different situations. Additionally how someone is perceived differs with the people who observe them.
Yup, it asks a lot to imagine, how such snotty, arrogant Princess Eva could turn into a warm motherly fair Queen Eva, but very sure it doesn’t happen without reason. We don’t know all the story, perhaps never will. We don’t know all the story about this moment in the sneek peak even, maybe there is more to it as well.
And it’s story telling, moreover fictional not documentary. I don’t expect writers to be all true to the experiences of my world, to my experiences in this world. I want them to take me sometimes beyond the world as I experience it every day, to tell me once in a while that something I feel as impossible might be nevertheless possible. To spark ideas, wonder (as in asking: maybe, despite what my experience says it is possible), make me re-think, question myself and the world, see alternatives, open my mind. I am not talking about fantastic elements in a story, like dragons or fire ball throwing witches or being able to transport from a space ship in seconds down to a planet, I mean human behavior. Sometimes it is to escape the world as I experience it even, but mostly for me it’s about reevaluating me in this world and the world as I see it. It’s a different kind of moment of wonder, not the thrill of sensational action but the charm of new or different thoughts. And yes, I prefer positive stimuli while nevertheless having a thing for dark drama – the darker the better, but the brighter even the smallest light of hope in the end can shine.
Okay, sorry for this stirring speech. Stepping down the soap box and scurry to do some real life stuff 😉
¯\_(?????? ?)_/¯
March 7, 2013 at 3:59 pm #177884theladybelleParticipantThe problem, if you can call it that, is Regina as a character and Lana Parrilla’s great acting. Because the character is so great and Lana is so great, people are getting drawn into the character. And when she is facing hard times, people are going to bash whoever is causing her problems, be it Snow or Henry. Some don’t see things from Snow and Henry’s perspective because Regina is their favourite character and they do not want anyone to stand in the way of her happiness or her ambitions.
And the same now applies to Cora. Because we see her as a good person who is being treated horribly by one of the other good characters, some are going to hate the good characters and have great sympathy for, and perhaps even going along with, the good-person-turned-villain. Simply because the writers have made the villains such complex characters and have somehow not quite done the same with the good guys.
I am not saying sympathetic villians are a bad thing. Please don’t think I do. That’s just my humble thoughts on the matter, guys… 😀 -
