The bad news: “Once Upon a Time” Season 3 won’t return until Sunday, March 9. The good news: Zap2it has seen the midseason premiere, and has 5 spoilers from the return episode, “New York City Serenade,” to keep you entertained until then.
As you may recall from the midseason finale, one year has passed since Storybrooke disappeared. Emma (Jennifer Morrison) and Henry (Jared Gilmore) are living happily in New York, when Captain Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) shows up to ruin their easy life. What happens next?
1. In the first 15 minutes of the episode, the following things occur: A picnic, note-passing, purple smoke, mention of Pompeii, and two offers that Emma doesn’t really know how to refuse.
2. Home life for the Swans includes video games, eggs and plaid pants that are not our favorite fashion choice.
3. This amazing Captain Hook line is voiced: “They force-fed me something called bologna.”
4. If you are ever in New York City, do not consume inexplicable substances handed to you by strange men. Or actually, don’t ever do that.
5. It’s possible to hijack magic spells. Possible side effects of this include a propensity to quote Goldilocks out of context.

The potion. But it should work, right?
Possible side effects of this include a propensity to quote Goldilocks out of context.
What.

So this is the WW that steals the spell also I wonder if she does a tornado instead of the curse smoke?
The Heart could be Regina taking it out like Cora did before she had Regina.

I think Aurora and Philip are having a picnic when Regina, Snow, and everyone else appear in purple smoke back in the EF. I think Hook will pass Emma a note from Neal. I don’t know what the mention of Pompeii would be (except maybe from the Latin city or the song “Pompeii” by Bastille). The two offers Emma doesn’t know how to refuse are 1) Walsh’s proposal and 2) Hook’s suggestion she drink the magic potion.

I’m guessing Hook says this about prison food.
4. If you are ever in New York City, do not consume inexplicable substances handed to you by strange men. Or actually, don’t ever do that.
LOL! Maybe the magic potion Hook gives Emma to remember has some unintended side-effects, or maybe this is just good general advice to follow.
5. It’s possible to hijack magic spells. Possible side effects of this include a propensity to quote Goldilocks out of context.
Hmmm. I’m thinking this might have something to do with Regina and the Wicked Witch. I remember the Goldilocks effect which states:
The Goldilocks principle states that something must fall within certain margins, as opposed to reaching extremes. When the effects of the principle are observed, it is known as the Goldilocks principle:
The Goldilocks principle is derived from a children’s story “The Three Bears” in which a little girl named Goldilocks finds a house owned by three bears. Each bear has their own preference of food and beds. After testing all three examples of both items, Goldilocks determines that one of them is always too much in one extreme (too hot or too large), one is too much in the opposite extreme (too cold or too small), and one is “just right”.So maybe a spell must be just right for the person in question to cast it.
"That’s how you know you’ve really got a home. When you leave it, there’s this feeling that you can’t shake. You just miss it." Neal Cassidy

That makes sense
Dreamcatcher + Potion = Emma’s memories
