I think we may see Mr.Gold/Rumpel trying to be rid of his dark curse, which would make sense why he’s not green and why he can kiss Belle. Here is some research possibly indicating the he’s discovered a way to be rid of the curse: https://oncepodcast.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=63&t=1418&start=30#p18294
Wow, that’s some amazing research! I hope you guys are right. I love the idea of Rumpel trying to rid himself of the curse. Hopefully, his search for Bae and having Belle back in his life has taught him that love and family are more important than power.
God, these spoilers are really great. They basically sum up everything I want to see next season. A kiss between Belle and Rumpel, Captain Hook, Henry’s father, ect. I’m really looking forward to season 2!

I think that Rumpel came home after he ran off and everyone died in the battle. And his wife left him. And he killed her. And took Bae. And Bae may be his child or not. Because Rumpel never denied any of those accusations when they were thrown at him.
Wait, why would Rumpel ran away from battle and then kill his wife? ๐ And Rumpel was never accused of killing his wife. So, how could he confirm or deny it? That’s just your own personal speculation.
And besides, I think the mystery woman in episode 4 is his wife.

They hated Gold for greedily overcharging their rent and controlling basically everyone’s buildings or businesses. I think they knew they’d either be out on the streets or he might arrange “accidental fires” if they didn’t pay up. Without knowing his fairy tale identity, they still feared him more than Regina.
When they find out he’s Rumpelstiltskin, what Charming called “the most dangerous man in the realms” and a “scourge” on the kingdoms (keep in mind the sword fight in the infinite forest with Rumpel being a fan of true love, precedes the wedding, and Charming personally helping arrange for the guy to be locked up), they should probably hate him even more.
I could see Belle being a go-between but I don’t think that would do her any favors or help her to fit in. The more I think about her doing that the more I think of her as a Sidney Glass. He was madly in love Regina, would do anything for her and at times did try to tell people that she wasn’t that bad. The guy didn’t seem to have many friends. They just tolerated him to keep off Regina’s bad side and otherwise felt sorry for him. Once Emma finally knew how bad Regina was, Sidney Glass’s love for her downright disgusted Emma.
If people know she’s aligned with Rumpel, I see Belle with a lot more pity than friendship.
Judging by the new spoilers provided by Emilie herself, I don’t think maing friends is going to be Belle’ main concern. She said that Belle would be a bit darker next season, thus possibly making her a little more sympathetic to Rumpel’s cause. So, I don’t think Belle will even want to make friends with the rest. The experience of being locked in a mental asylum and being in love with Dark One will make her much darker and a little more mature than her former Fairytale self.
And I think using Sidney Glass as a comparison is a bit overkill. Sidney Glass was a lovesick puppy who Regina toyed with and never truly loved. Rumpel and Belle, however, have been proven to be true love. So, the sacrifices they make for each other have a little more meaning. Sidney’s sacrifices were all based on the lie that Regina loved him. It’s not the same thing.
a chipped cupParticipantOk, I’m going to try to stay calm, but he really does look a lot like Baelfire. Like…A LOT!
a chipped cupParticipantWait, the Blue Fairy had a relationship with Rumpel? Is she Bae’s mother? Wait, this is strange. ๐ I actually a read a theory about this a few months ago, but I brushed it off. I gues that would explain why Rumpel hasn’t killed Blue yet.

If Jack and the Beanstalk is a one shot episode then it will be an Emma episode and that could be why it sounds like Emma. Because the three one shots in Season 1 were Emma episodes.
I depends on who Jack turns out to be. Because if he’s Baelfire, then it probably won’t be a one-shot and it probably won’t be about Emma either. ๐

Found this at Tumblr,
For Once Upon a Time, the role of [JACK] is being cast (as a โguest role with optionโ). Heโs in his 20s or 30s, charismatic, sexy and mysterious, but also loyal and kind, and heโs running from his past in a land full of danger
It sounds like Bae to me.
That does sound like Baelfire, doesn’t it?
CAN’T WAIT!!! ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐ ๐
a chipped cupParticipantI actually really the idea of Baelfire being Henry’s father. To me, the inspiration for the curse meeting and falling in love with the person who was destined to break the curse makes total sense. They’re both intimately conencted the curse, they’re both from Fairytale land, they’re both parentless, and they both probably ended up in foster care. They already have a ton in common. The groundwork is already there.
And I agree, Midnight Dreary. Most people already knew that August was Pinocchio. That’s why there were so many side theories out there. People didn’t want to believe that he was actually Pinocchio, so people started coming up with side theories. That’s when the all the Bae, Oz and Robin Hood theories started popping up.
a chipped cupParticipantI agree. I think Belle was simply against the dark magic that made Rumpel the Dark One. Magic in general isn’t a bad thing, it just depends on the person and the nature of the magic itself.
