ParticipantThe only appearance that actually made a difference plot wise was the Apprentice showing up again, ironic given that no one would catalog the Apprentice as a fan favorite or a character anyone was dying to see again.
And actually now that you mention it, I thought that was decent throw back and I was like hey look the Apprentice. We get excited to see old characters when they are actually relevant to the story. I liked seeing Granny last week because I could actually imagine her helping Henry fix his car and I loved the mention of Tiny, but tonight’s throwbacks were too contrived to be enjoyable.

ParticipantI honestly think it is going to have to be a we are both thing. That has been the theme since the very beginning and makes the most sense and has the most consistency. Even Evil Queen Regina had her heart reemerged with Regina’s in a moment of love over hate. How many times have we heard on this show that the villains need to accept the darkness that is part of them, wish realm Rumple is just Rumple’s darkness. I know they are supposed to be two separate people but they made it seem on tonight’s episode that their fates were interconnected which to me means that they are in part one.

ParticipantWhich character did you like seeing best?
I liked seeing Cruella and I have always loved Pan.
Was it worth having them back for this episode?
Nope, that were just there for fan service so not really relevant. I loved seeing both of them in the underworld because they actually made sense and was part of the plot. This was them there just to be there, the writers would have been better served just concentrating on wrapping up the season than trying to bring everyone back in ways that did not make sense.

ParticipantI think they will track down Snow and Charming. They should track down Emma who is the savior, but we will see.
Things I would like to see include: the clock tower, the library, Gold’s shop, and Granny’s.
People I want to see: Leroy with Astrid (still shipping them, shady blue), Archie, Pongo, August, Granny, and Marco

ParticipantI agree with everything Rumple’s Girl said. I liked some of this episode and felt irritated by other parts of it. All in all I would give it a 7/10
Wow, it took us five years but the biggest and ambiguous prophecy in the show’s history finally comes back full circle. I don’t know if the writers intended this all along or they realized that the prophecy never really got resolved so they decided to bring it back now but at least it’s fully answered.
I think the writers thought that they resolved it, but us fans did not so that left a loop hole for them to revisit and I am glad they did.
Liked:
Robert Carlyle!!!!!!
“The timelines alone would make one’s head spin.” LOL!
Loved that quote, great shout out to the fans.
Rumple and Nook working together, actually all the characters working together.
I hate the wish realm, but if they are going to bring it back into play I am glad they are addressing the fact that Henry watched his grandparents being murdered and his mother being stolen by Regina.
Nook and Tilly were heartbreaking and sweet, I really love their daughter/father relationship
Mixed:
t’s always good to see Peter Pan, Cruella, Ariel, Blue, ect again even if the Wish Realm is weird and the only reason it’s being featured now is because the writers want to trot out the fan favorites before the end.
Agreed!!!
I loved seeing imp Rumple even if I don’t agree with the writers of his thought process. So let me get this correct, if Real Rumple passes on the dark one dagger to the guardian or whoever both him and Wish Rumple looses their immortality and power (darkness)? Which means they should merge into one and therefore both would get back to Belle if he finds a way to get rid of the dagger? What the writers are forgetting is that Wish Rumple had Belle, she lived in his castle, was his maid, and he let her go. The entire Belle and Rumple story in EF should be the same as the wish realm version, So they are telling us that he has no desire to get back to her? That this Rumple who spent 200 years trying to get back to the only other person he has loved, Bae would just suddenly say oh well. Our Real Rumple as soon as Belle walked into his shop after he thought she was dead for 30 years wanted her back, why is this one different. He has a chance of getting back to both his son and Belle why would he not want to take that? I know everyone else is assuming he is just the “beast” because he did not have Bae to fight for and maybe I can see that but I still don’t buy that he would just revert back to not wanting Belle and possibly getting back to Bae in the afterworld.
Henry and Cruella’s sword fight was really just cheesy and pointless.
Disliked:
Doesn’t Wish Henry know that Dark One Rumple is his grandfather? And doesn’t Dark One Rumple know that Wish Henry is his grandson?
Exactly!!! and our Henry doesn’t he realize that Wish Rumple is still his grandfather and doesn’t wish Rumple know that real Henry is his grandson. That exchange was really odd. I get that Henry would be weary of Wish Rumple but he was out and out aggressive before any words were exchanged and did not try and reason with him at all.
Sabine and whatever his name is: The fact that I can’t remember either his cursed or non cursed name says something. At this point in time they need to sideline any characters who are not central to the story and they definitely did not develop Sabine enough to be central.
Ella/Jacinda: Her facial expressions are really bad. They are either over exaggerated or completely wrong. In the snow globe it looked like she was actually smiling?

ParticipantI loved this! This scene ranked right up there with Henry breaking the curse by kissing Regina. I wished they had shown us more of his struggles and the explanation behind it to begin with. What he stated in the earlier episode was that he wanted to compare to Charming and have a grand adventure to prove his worth, here he is stating that because of his childhood no one in the real world would understand him. This I get the Charming adventure I did not. None the less this scene was absolutely perfect and why I love OUAT

ParticipantYeah, can I say I am actually super excited about this, but it could go SO wrong. Rumple was never originally horrible to be horrible, that was the beauty of Rumple. He was a complete and utter villain but he did everything he was doing to get back to his son. This is what made us love Rumple he was a villain ( a man who makes wrong choices) with a noble purpose. While I absolutely love Robert as imp Rumple I don’t want to see imp Rumple being evil just to be evil (season 4) that makes him flat and uninteresting. I also don’t want any version of Rumple who is dead or unhappy, because underneath all that and before he became the dark one he was a really good man who was just trying to raise and support his son as a single father.

ParticipantSo we went from a horrible episode last week to an OUTSTANDING episode this week. I loved this episode 9/10. Why can’t we always have writing like this!
Liked:
Henry breaks the curse by kissing Regina on the forehead!!!!! I don’t think I could think of a better way to break the curse
Henry calling Henry actually brought tears to my eyes and both actors did a great job. I always thought they casted older Henry well, but you can totally see that in this episode. I had no problems accepting that both actors were Henry.
Throwback to Tiny with the bean, even if he did go to forgotten character island
Loved seeing Granny again who was helping Henry fix a car
Regina and Henry flashbacks were great and tied in perfectly with the current story.
Tilly: As always she did a great job. I loved her monologue about how Gothel chose hate but she would choose love.
Time Travel: Okay I was even okay with this explanation at least on my first watch of the episode. I can totally get that maybe Gothel brought them back to the past and it gives us an explanation of why they could not contact Storybrooke
Henry’s college essay was heart uplifting. I loved it and I liked how they used it in the background as they were showing us present day HH. Every time OUAT does this, I usually love it and this was definitely not an exception.
WR Rumple: Okay, since they brought back the WR I kept on thinking in the back of my mind, yeah and WR Rumple is just hanging out in WR? This just seemed so out of character for Rumple especially the Rumple who never had Belle. I actually got giddy when I saw him, although I must say the whole point of the ending of season 6 was Rumple vs. Imp Rumple and he won so why we are fighting that battle again I don’t know. I would love it if WR Rumple and Rumple teamed up to try and get him back to Belle, but I am pretty sure that is not the direction they are going.
Mixed/Disliked:
Facilier: apparently now he is dead, and we have no idea why he wanted the dagger (was he just looking for power?) Why did he steal Rumple and Belle’s family album? I doubt we get any explanation of any of this but I would love one.
Rumple: So poor Rumple in the Henry monologue just looks sad and goes away (reminded me of Regina in season 2-3 when she would help save everyone and then be forgotten). As much as he would like to have a family with Henry, he really doesn’t and I don’t think that is going to really significantly change.
The message that Rumple is the weakest version of himself because he is not super villaney? What kind of sense does that make? I loved that Rumple actually thought twice before killing Facilier over a family album that he now had back. I will say when he stopped at first I thought Facilier had his dagger and was controlling him, but nope he was just making a good choice. Good Job Rumple!

ParticipantYeah that was surprising, I was totally expecting the curse to break, but I guess we have a couple of episodes left so maybe it is too soon. Maybe it was because Jacinda made it very clear that she was kissing Henry and not Cinderella. Maybe the story is saying that Henry and Cinderella may be true love, but not Jacinda and Henry. This would be like Mary Margaret and David in season 1 not being true loves, but Snow and Charming were. Maybe Henry and Cinderella need to have all their memories to share true love and therefore it did not work.

ParticipantAre we…are we sure HH is in our world? Because apparently the Land W/O Magic was created thousands of years ago but our earth is like…a lot older
That would by the only way this would save my wraith. I mean holy cow Gothel created the land without magic?????? So let’s say that HH is not in our world, then is it in an entirely different realm? I guess that could be why they could not get to storybrooke or contact anyone from there. The problem with this is that it would mean that we have two worlds without magic. So going back to season 1 how would Rumple know which world to go to? This creates more problems than it solves and why does this World Without Magic Version 2 look exactly like ours does? What are the differences? Are there any differences? We only have 2 episodes left, it is really too late to be introducing a new realm.
