It bugs me that they're acting like it's not romantic if it doesn't mean that there's a kiss, or a romantic declaration, but I'm ok with subtlety right now, I don't want him to be a rebound for Emma.
I agree that there’s so much going on with everything else that nothing overly romantic could or should happen right now, especially with the events of last week, but we should definitely see them together.
Oh I did not hear that! That gives me hope that we could see something. Any interaction between the two would make me happy!

I do wonder though how they fit everything in each episode. The 40 min or so does not seem long enough. I feel like sometimes there is not enough time and so many characters and plots that not everything can be covered.

Hook is totally like Spike only he better get treated better than that down the line! I don’t want Sawyer 2.0, I don’t want Spike 2.0, I was HOOK 1.0 to get all the wonderful things he deserves!
MysteryKat, we were thinking of Buffy and Spike at the same time – I just finished my post and then saw yours! I agree that there are some similarities between Hook and Spike (at least so far).

I was disappointed that there were NO scenes between Hook and Emma in the last ep. But I kind of knew that it was possible that we wouldn’t see CS addressed. I don’t think Adam and Eddy have actually stated that there is going to be Captain Swan by the end of the season. On his twitter, Adam said that Hook and Emma will have scenes together in the finale. It is not an outright lie, they will probably have a scene but it will probably with Charming and Snow and possibly Regina and they might not get to display their usual banter. The episode might be too busy for that. I don’t think CS is going to be instantaneous – I think it will be a slow buildup that will need to develop. Does it make me impatient? Yes…but if explored it will be worth the waiting. 😀
As for Neal being the end game, I don’t think any of us can predict that. Think about TV shows that last a couple of seasons that you have watched and how many times couples have switched and swapped by the end of the series. Would I have thought that Buffy would have been romantically involved with Spike when he was first introduced? No. The characters evolved and changed.

Because of what’s coming up with Neverland and the Lost Boys, I can’t help but think of Tori Amos’ “Flying Dutchman”.The Flying Dutchman is the legendary ghost ship that actually was referenced in the Pirates movies. This song came out before all that.
Some of the lyrics that remind me of OUAT:
“Hey kid, I’ve got a ride for you.” Opening statement to the song. Makes me think of Hook and Bae.“Take a trip on a rocket ship, baby, where the sea is the sky.
I know the guy who runs the place and he’s out of sight.

Flying Dutchman are you out there, Flying Dutchman?” Again, this reminds me of Hook and the ship that flies in Disney’s Peter Pan“She tried that one with the alligator boots but the other side drew her in.” – This makes me think of the Rumple, the Crocodile. I know Alligators and Crocodiles aren’t the same but I sometimes think of them as the same.
“They can’t be, what they can’t believe.” – This reminds me of all of OUAT; everything is about belief and hope
“They keep the boys spinning in their own little world.” – The Lost Boys
“Tie him up so he won’t say a word.” – Hook because he is always tied up (in one form or another)

Yes, that is possible. Also, Cora did know a lot of details about this curse too and Hook spent a lot of time with her. However, I don’t know if he trusts GOAT enough to disclose that information.

What about Maleficent? I know she is dead now but she could have told someone before. She had the curse at one point (Regina stole it back from her). It’s pretty far fetched but I’m just thinking of people who would know so much about the curse.

I am a little cautious about whether or not CS is happening since you never know where these writers are going to take us. However, I don’t think they would have the flirtation between Hook/Emma in Tallahassee for no reason. They clearly wanted to show parallels between Neal and Hook as suitors for Emma. It seems like the episodes have been too busy lately to show Emma’s love life so I am wondering if we will see it more in S3. I also wonder if it was delayed or rewritten because Colin broke his leg. Either way, I hope we see some CS or even some Hook/Emma banter by the end of the season.
