She can’t accept who is because he kills people! 😆 Baelfire had the same issue. It’s not Belle’s fault. Rumpel is the one who needs to start making changes. You can’t honestly expect someone to accept a loved one committing all these horribles crimes. Belle loves him, but he does need to change. Belle and Baelfire BOTH saw that.
I was just about to post this. You summed it up perfectly. And DUH, of course Belle and Rumpel are meant for each other. They’re true love. That’s already been proven.
Mr. Gold wanted to go on the journey alone because he knows finding Bae will be difficult, and when he doesn finally find him, it’s going to take a lot of work to repair their broken relationship. He needs to work this out on his own. It doesn’t mean that he needs to give up Belle in order to have his son. You can have love and your child at the same time. People do it everyday. They’re called families.
OMG, hallelujah to you both. Belle has made an awful lot of sacrifices to stay with Rumpel. She fell in love with him knowing that he was evil. She knows he’s not perfect. But it didn’t matter. She loved him and even after she left the castle, she decided to come back. TWICE! Once in Skin Deep, and then the second time in The Outsider. And then once the curse broke in Storybrooke, she forgave him for sending the wraith after Regina and she forgave him for killing his first wife. So, I don’t understand when people ask “why can’t Belle accept Rumpel for who he is.” She has! She knows he’s done terrible things, but she refuses to give up on him. Belle is the one who has sacrificed the most in this relationship, not Rumpel. Belle has accepted all of Rumpel’s flaws, but she knows that he can’t stay evil forever. That kind of darkness will eat away at a person’s soul and she’s trying to help him. And she’s doing the right thing because if Rumpel hasn’t changed by the time he finds Baelfire, he’s going to reject him. So, Belle is doing everyone in that family a favor by trying to help Rumpel change. She’s in the right.
RANT OVER.

an empty heartParticipantWelcome! My favorite storyline is Rumpel and Bae’s as well. 😉
an empty heartParticipantOMG! STORYBROKKE FLASHBACKS!!! 😮 😮 😮
I’m surprised by how little the fashion sense in Storybrooke has changed. Regina is still wearing her skirts and boots, MM is still wearing her sweaters and skirts, and Mr. Gold is still sporting his suits. Hmm…

Uh-oh. Rumpel’s destiny? Does that bring back memories of Zoso’s final words to Rumpel right before he died for anyone? He said that the curse was a burden and he was happy to be rid of it. 🙁
I was just about to post this. For the love of God writers, don’t have Rumpel go all suicidal. 😯
