Yeah, although Regina is extremely powerful, I think that IF Rumple simply manipulated Regina into enacting the curse so he wouldn’t have to give up the thing he loved most (which I think is what happened), then Rumple’s power to manipulate Regina in itself tells me that Rumple is more powerful.
BUT it could just be another ploy, and Regina is double-double-crossing him 😉
As to who physically has more power, I’d say Rumple as of right now. But if Regina were to ever get hold of Rumple’s dagger, or if we found out that she was a Dark One or something…
Lucky for Mr. Gold, magic doesn’t work in our world, so getting hold of the dagger wouldn’t help Regina at all.
[adrotate group="5"]an empty heartParticipantAww! That is so sweet! I love anything Rumbelle related. 😀
an empty heartParticipantBut I’m not sure if true love’s kiss will break Mr. Gold’s curse in Storybrooke. Magic doesn’t exist in Storybrooke, so it may not work. But then again, Graham kissed Emma and he started to remember his past life, so who knows. Maybe Emma’s magic will make the effects of true love’s kiss more potent.

Oh, it’s not a silly theory at all. Remember, the curse didn’t work the first time and really, the wording was “the heart of the thing you love most.” So, she failed twice. For the curse to really work, Regina would have had to “put her heart into her work” so to speak. Regina loves Regina the most.
Rumple had a completely different plan way back when he made the deal with the Queen that she would always do his bidding if he said, “Please.” She figured she’d be rid of Rumple and his magic once her curse was released on FTL. So, in her arrogance, she dismissed it. Only, her curse didn’t launch – Rumple’s did. It was all smoke and mirrors when the Queen thought her curse was manifesting. Rumple probably made back room deals with others in the Realm that had everything to lose, should The Queen succeed. So, it was a con job from the get go and Regina is living a delusional life as Mayor while Rumple waits for the right “believer” to come along and take her out. He probably can’t get his hands bloody for some reason. Whether or not he will or can reverse the curse, once Regina is gone, is unknown.
I agree that the curse was never really about Regina or her desires. The curse was designed to help Rumpel find his son. But Regina is using it as a tool for revenge. So, it may backfire on her. She probably has no clue what the curse is really about or the consequences of it.

My big question is one that has been looking at us in the face since the pilot. Did Rumple plan all of this from the start? Did he trick Rigena? Did he plan to have the two true lovers make Emma to break his curse? Did he do this, did he do that? Questions, questions, questions. 😀 I love this show.
I think it was all planned from the start. Rumpel needed someone to cast the curse. He couldn’t do it himself because he didn’t have the key ingredient. The heart of the person he loved most. Everyone he loved was either dead or missing. And he wouldn’t have sacrificed Belle because he loved her. And he sent her away twice, so If he needed her heart, he would have killed her himself.

Where was the location/time period that Bae landed in? We only know that he was sent to our world.
I want to know about this too. There’s always the possibility that Baelfire landed in our world, but during a different tim period.
Hmm…questions I would like to add to the list…I just want to know everything about Baelfire. What happened to him? Where is he? Is he alive? Is he dead? Did he ever develop any magical powers? Who is his mother? GAH! So much!

Yeah, I went back and rewatched a couple of scenes. It was kind of a mash-up of “no, you don’t get to speak” from the pilot and “You’re going to stay away from me, and more importantly, Henry” in episode 11. In any case, the way she was speaking did seem very Regina-ish.
@EastOfTheSun wrote:Emma is smart, maybe she was trying to seem more menacing to Regina by acting like Regina.
It’s interesting, because so far whenever Emma’s has acted like Regina, or “sunk to her level” so to speak, it hasn’t ended well for her.
I agree. Emma shouldn’t lower herself to Regina’s level. Emma can’t beat her by using the very same tactics that Regina uses. Regina’s been using them for years. So, whatever Emma tries to throw at her, it will backfire.

Like Midnight Dreary said, the casting team made sure to get little Snow White right. I can’t wait to meet Henry’s father so that we can finally have this whole hair affair taken care of.
an empty heartParticipantI’m not even going to lie, one of my main reasons for wanting Baelfire to be Henry’s father is because I really love the young actor who played him. I’d love to see him again. But if Baelfire is Henry’s father, then I guess the show will eventually hire an adult actor to play him.
Dang it. Nevermind. 😆

I still can’t get over what the Blue Fairy said. She called the vortex a “time hole.” That’s an obvious clue that Baelfire may still be alive.
oooohhh, missed that! Rewatch please. Seriously, I need to watch this show with closed captioning turned on… 😆
Yes, the show can be rather complicated sometimes. 😉 *runs of to rewatch with you* 😆
