I still think if it’s a dream, it’s Rumple’s- even without Belle there. Dreams aren’t always logical, and I think it would make sense that Rumple has a dream in which he tries to do something to Henry.
I have to admit, though, that part of me hopes it isn’t a dream, because I love seeing them all together and happy like that- but then what on earth makes them all so shocked?

I read the book a long time ago- wrote a paper about it in 10th grade, although I don’t specifically remember the Red QueenangiebelleParticipantangiebelleParticipantThat dog turd line was so uncalled for! No one is saying that the actors are perfect or godlike- it’s just a very immature and disrespectful way to talk. There is a difference between constructive criticism and public slander.
The thing is, just because an actor chooses not to interact with fans, it doesn’t mean he or she is a bad person. How would you like to be constantly hounded for attention? They do not deserve to be insulted just because they want some peace. Anyone would come off as a jerk if he or she was pushed hard enough. (I know, I’m mostly preaching to the choir here.) I saw a video on Youtube in which a young woman basically ambushed Lana with a video camera as she was getting into her car at Paleyfest. It made me so uncomfortable! And yes, Lana came across as a little mean, but seriously- can you blame her?
It bugs me how judgmental some people are. I usually give the benefit of the doubt because you have no idea what’s going on in someone’s head, what his or her day has been like, what he or she is going through…no one is perfect and no one can be expected to be so. Being in the public eye is a lot of pressure- everything you do or say is scrutinized. Some people handle it better than others. I am rather shy and socially awkward myself. I can only imagine what people would say about me. Many years ago, some things I said on a Disney message board caused people to get upset with me. Not only did I find a 10 page thread on a parallel board basically tearing me apart, but a few people went so far as to try to get me fired from my job at WDW.
It’s a shame that Jennifer Morrison had such a bad fan experience that she is afraid to do set meet and greets anymore. Someone has soured the experience for the rest of us. It makes me so sad. While we may think that she shouldn’t let one fan determine how she is towards others, it isn’t our right to tell her how she should feel. If she is uncomfortable, then she is uncomfortable.
angiebelleParticipantIt’s 100% Polyester, possibly wrinkles easily. Honestly, if it wasn’t the perfect RumBelle dress, I’m not sure I would have spent that much on it- but I am not someone who likes to spend a lot on clothes.
angiebelleParticipantThanks guys! I don’t know when I’ll have the chance to wear it, but I’m so glad I ended up liking it after all since it is the perfect RumBelle dress- it was even on sale!

Evil Regals have a hand sign? 😮
Yup! It’s pinky and pointer fingers up.
I’m not an Evil Regal either, but Regina is a great character, and Lana is amazing in the role.
angiebelleParticipantShe was definitely one of the most entertaining at Paleyfest- she was constantly cracking me up with her facial expressions and asides! It was also awesome how she kept giving shout outs to the Evil Regals. I even saw her do the Evil Regal hand sign out the window as her car drove away.
It’s so funny to see her play this dark character and then turn around and watch her as herself- so light and bubbly and happy.
angiebelleParticipantThat’s awesome, RumplesGirl! It’s not just a one line response but an interaction with an invite to communicate again. 🙂
I definitely treat interactions with the actors as a bonus. I wish for a response, of course, but certainly don’t expect one. One reason I addressed my fanletter to the whole cast was to cast a wide net. If just one person acknowledges it, then I know at least that it was received and read, and that alone would be awesome.

Belle is very good at seeing the good in people. If she says it’s there, it’s there. And we saw him as a good man once in his pre-dark one days. He has it in him.
Slightly off topic, but is Belle really THAT perceptive about goodness? There is a saying that love is blind. She described Hook as “rotten to the core.” I, like many others, have a different view given the scenes showing him doing things like saving Aurora’s heart from falling into the portal, or nudging transformed fish guy into the water. I think if we were meant to think Hook were truly rotten, the show would not include those scenes. So if Hook also has the capacity to be reformed, why did Belle not see that ? Granted, a guy threatening to kill your boyfriend might make it hard to see that guy’s redeeming qualities, but a lot of people think she is somehow the ultimate in seeing good underneath darkness. Maybe she is just naive!
I want to trust her judgement of Rumpel because I want Rumpel to ultimately make the right choices, but I have to admit, she (and all of us fans in the audience) may be overestimating his degree of reformation at this early point in the story. We may be in for some tricky reversals that might have us shouting at the screen. Before Manhattan, many people thought Rumpel would take on the role of kindly grandpa to Henry, but what we saw was much more complicated. There is still a lot of fear and anger in Rumpel.
I think there is more to come for Belle to truly accept even the darkest parts of his heart, and change them. I think her judgement will become less naive, especially after she integrates the Lacey persona. I think that is part of her journey, why the writers chose to unfold her tale that way, rather than choosing some other obstacle for Rumbelle.
So far as the spoilers go, I think it is entirely possible that Rumpel might have some kind of plan to “neutralize” the threat of Henry, similar to his idea of how to handle getting revenge on Regina at the start of the season. I don’t think he is in as dark of a place as at the start of the season, for he has learned some things, but I do think he has not learned enough to be a hero yet.
Belle’s ability to see the goodness in others is her “superpower” so to speak. I’m pretty sure Adam and Eddie have stated as much. And Rumple *does* have good in him- we have seen it too. He was a good man prior to becoming the Dark One. As for Belle’s claim about Hook…well, all she has seen is him wanting to kill Rumple and attacking her. She has not seen anything remotely good from him. She has actually seen Rumple’s good side.
I do think Rumple wants Henry out of the way, but he wants to stop himself from harming him. He doesn’t want to be that monster.
I am really curious to learn more about Lacey and how Lacey will affect Belle’s future.
