Wow! That’s a bit more elaborate than I had in mind! I was thinking like a sentence or two- those usually turn out pretty funny. Great idea with having people post [NEXT] first- always wondered how to make that work. 🙂
I’ll try to contribute something- I haven’t tried OuaT fanfic myself though.
I might start the simple version too, for the less ambitious writers out there.
[adrotate group="5"]angiebelleParticipantNo kidding- I figured out how to read replies on their twitter pages, and I saw people say things to Lana that they had tweeted her like 60 times begging for a tweet. I will not beg! I will not be one of those type of fans! I tweet to them periodically, but only when I actually have something to say. I don’t want them to think I’m crazy. I did write a long letter to the whole cast recently- I tried to make it a real letter with a conversational tone rather than a gushfest- told them things about myself I thought might interest them. How I wish I could get to know them as real people and not just enigmas!
I was talking to a friend of mine yesterday who said she doesn’t understand the idea of caring about meeting actors- they are just people. I replied that they are people who do what I wish I could do, and that from what I can tell, they all seem like really cool people that I’d want to hang out with even if they weren’t famous. I mean Ginnifer is a member of D23, the official Disney fanclub! I’m going to the D23 Expo in August.
At Paleyfest, I felt almost ashamed of being in that crowd of fans. Everyone was going nuts- practically trampling each other, surging forward, calling out their names, waving things to be signed in their faces etc. I know I’d have been deer in headlights in their shoes. I’ve had a small taste of it since I spent over 3 years as a Disney character performer. It’s like putting on the face of a celebrity and stepping out into the parks- people get so excited! And sometimes, they forget you are human. I’ve actually had someone hold me by the shoulders to grab a photo when I trying to leave. 🙄

JAW DROPPED TO THE FLOOR. Seriously.
I can’t quite tell what we are looking at there…looks like a boat in a cavern with a bunch of cloaked figures.
angiebelleParticipantI’m checking out all the spoiler stuff that has been posted and reading fanfic…I really ought to attempt to write some myself. I keep claiming to be a writer. I used to write Disney fanfic as teen, but it’s been a long time. I’m afraid I wouldn’t be able to do the characters justice, and I don’t have any ideas off the top of my head.
Maybe we could do a story-go-round. That could be fun- you know, one person starts a story with a sentence or two or three and then another person adds to it and so on.
I’m actually significantly distracted enough that time might go fast- it’s tech week for the production of Brigadoon I’m going to be doing. We open on Saturday!
I’ve also started taking an acting for film class. I have taken lots of theater acting classes but never done film. I’ve always thought that it was such an oxymoron that I want to be an actress…someone as shy and insecure as myself wanting to do something that requires putting yourself out on display- go figure! Acting is scary and not easy- hence why I greatly admire the OuaT cast.

To the first question, I think her meeting August was just good luck. I think Tamara was just there for the magic the Dragon could offer her. She wasn’t specifically looking for August.
To the second question, not a clue how she knew he was in the office. I don’t know if they explained that.
To the third question, August doesn’t have magic, but he is magical. He was a walking wooden man. So that’s why I think the taser didn’t kill him so much as take his essence which lead to killing him. And his essence happens to be magical, like the Dragon. But that’s just my theory. That is exactly what I was thinking- that the taser is a magic zapper, and August is walking magic. Without magic, he is just wood.
angiebelleParticipantI have often heard that you don’t write for your audience as much as you write the story you would want to read yourself.
angiebelleParticipantExactly! It is possible to have a constructive discussion about what you did and didn’t like about an episode without going on a rampage and getting insulting and cruel. I, too, trust Adam and Eddie completely.
I have an almost unhealthy obsession with the show myself- for the opposite reason from you to some degree, RumplesGirl. I moved to CA with my husband a year ago when he got hired as a software engineer at a mobile start up company- a job he really loves. I am, at this point, mainly a housewife. I have a job as a puppeteer at a little local zoo and park, but I don’t get that many hours. OuaT is my escape from the humdrum of daily routine, and often these forums are my primary source of social interaction during the day. (I also do community theater, so that helps too.)
angiebelleParticipantI have not had dreams about the characters, but I’ve dreamed about the actors. The other day, I dreamed I sat next to Meghan Ory on a bus, and we ended up chatting and becoming friends- it was one of those dreams that you wake up feeling disappointed that it didn’t really happen.
angiebelleParticipantI want Once Upon a Time dolls! I sometimes dress up my American Girl dolls like the characters. I wanted to create my own OuaT Barbies, but I couldn’t find clothes that resembled what any of the characters wear.
angiebelleParticipantI think he is conflicted. The human part of him does not wish to harm Henry. He has always been found of him. But his inner dark one does want him gone. He probably doesn’t trust himself around the boy.
