Gee, I loved the excert! It doesn’t bother me that the dialogue is a bit paraphrased- it makes it more interesting to get a different take on it, and I am looking forward to getting more into the characters’ heads and learning new things about them.

I agree that I want them to tell their own story. I just wanted to say that as a fan who loves the show, I wish to see more of the character interactions and less of the danger. But they can take the story any direction they like.
It has to be an old pic- Adam and Eddie have stated that we won’t see Jefferson anymore this season- Stan is too busy.
Oh, I get that- I would never tell them what direction to take the story in. They would go crazy if they tried to please everyone. I just want better pacing and a better balance. It drives me crazy when fans get all “I’m not gonna watch anymore if you do that!” Obviously, I love the show or I wouldn’t watch it.
I had the same problem with Aurora and Mulan in “Broken” because in the past, we were always introduced to their Storybrooke counterparts first and then we saw them in the enchanted forest, so we saw the connection. With Aurora and Mulan, before we knew it was a flash sideways, it was more of a why are we seeing these characters? What do they have to do with the characters we care about? Therefore, I wasn’t terribly interested in them at first. Also, new characters in the first season were always shown in relation to the core characters. Aurora and Mulan came out of nowhere.
I don’t know how else they could have done that though as they had to set those two up to meet Emma and Snow.
Yes, I think there was some info left out there somewhere…perhaps Mr. Gold had tried to call her at some point? Perhaps she asked the hospital staff who he was?
