I think that what the curse did was rather than make them completely opposite of who they were in the Enchanted Forest, it hindered their best assets to keep them from their happy endings….therefore strong and brave Snow White becomes meek Mary Margaret. Confident Charming becomes insecure David. Red as Ruby loses her spunk and her ability to believe in herself. But at the core, they are still the same people….their internal belief systems haven’t changed. When Emma came to town, they all started to find themselves again.
Belle reverting to her Storybrooke self is going to have all kinds of repercussions. Not only is she going to loose all her courage and fight without her Enchanted Forest memories, but who knows what years of being locked up in an asylum has done to her alter ego. She is going to be completely freaked out- poor thing.
[adrotate group="5"]angiebelleParticipantAw, your heart just breaks for Belle in those pics- she looked genuinely terrified.
angiebelleParticipantWow! The are coming out with these fast lately! In the past, it would be Wednesday or Thursday before we got a sneak peak, and here it is only Monday. Very interesting clip- I’m so glad Regina is not falling for Cora’s act.
angiebelleParticipantI wonder if Regina did indeed give Belle false memories- maybe she has been made to believe something horrible about Rumple. I would be very surprised if Regina had left Belle with an entirely blank slate. I’m looking forward to finding out who Belle thinks she is.
angiebelleParticipantWow! What an episode! I loved seeing Belle get out of situations using her book smarts- about time we get to see her do more this season than just be a victim. She has always been my favorite character- long before OuaT. (I have used the screenname AngieBelle in her honor since I was 15.)
I knew Hook was going to meet them at the line and aim a gun- that was in the promo….but whoa, what a twist having her get thrown over the border of Storybrooke! She is going to freak without her enchanted forest memories- and maybe we will learn more about what false memories she had while in the asylum. Poor Rumple! My heart just broke for him. But he’ll get her back, I just know it.
(And how did Hook find out about the whole border thing anyway?)
angiebelleParticipantI vote for the Blue Fairy…she has been around this whole time. I’ll bet it was part of the preparations for the curse that she mentioned a while back.

If she were going to kill Regina, she would have done so when she had the chance- when she was pretending to be dead as originally planned. She believes that Regina is going to need her once the curse is broken, and she can’t resist being “needed.”
Cora has messed Regina up psychologically- that is why Regina still loves her. (My dad is a psychiatrist and could tell you all kinds of stuff about the effects of dysfunction in a family.)

I was visiting my family when the episode aired. I watched it with my parents and missed whole chunks of dialogue because my dad kept questioning what was going on!
angiebelleParticipantHmm…I had forgotten that Cora had knocked Aurora out and she was awakened by Hook…I suppose he could have taken her heart while she was asleep. I missed some details while watching the show because I was visiting my parents so they watched with us, and my dad kept asking questions during the show! Maybe it was more apparently Aurora’s heart that I realized. Still hoping it isn’t, but we’ll see.
angiebelleParticipantHm…I never questioned that August took the money. That seemed pretty obvious to me, not vague at all. They were very deliberately vague in the case of the heart.
