ParticipantI agree, thelonebamf, I don’t think there is a connection between Rumple and the Shadow but I still think that Rumple ends up going to NL to get his squid ink at some point. 😀

ParticipantArgh! I think that article created more questions than it answered.

ParticipantI don’t think Rumple created the shadow. The possession idea is really interesting. I also think Hook is more of a “good guy” in NL.
The time thing is what is really getting to me at the moment. I don’t think Bae was in the portal for 100-150 years like some have suggested only because it doesn’t seem to have that effect on anyone else. That and A and E saying that no time travel occurred. But I do think that time relative to our world passes differently in NL. Wendy was gone for only 1 night but by the way she talked it sounded like she was there for a whole day and night. So let’s say that while 1 day passes here, 2 days pass in NL. I think that would explain Rumple saying he was approx. 300 years old and Neal/Bae going from FTL to 19th century London to NL to our world. At least it makes sense to me. 😀

Rather than transporting everyone in SB back to the EF, I think Emma’s innate True Love magic could simply be enough to reverse the failsafe, even after if it’s already been activated. Her magic is fueled by her instinct to protect people. In Broken, Emma touched Regina’s arm, which activated Jefferson’s hat and saved Regina’s life. In The Queen of Hearts, Emma pushed Snow White out of harm’s path and deflected Cora with her care bear stare. And in The Miller’s Daughter, Emma created a protective barrier spell when her parents, Neal, and Rumple were in danger. So, imagine if the town of SB is about to wiped off of the map and herself and her family included. I think Emma’s mama bear emotions would be in overdrive with Henry’s life especially at stake. She could have an adrenaline-charged true-love-is-the-most-powerful-magic moment. Thus, SB and its townsfolk would be preserved after all. Then, Tamara and Greg jump ship, kidnapping Henry along the way, and Emma & Co. go after them in Hook’s ship, because Hook manages to swipe one of the two remaining beans off of GOAT just before he double-crossed them.
This. I love all of it. I can totally see all of that happening.

Idea that just popped into my head, and speaking of assumptions, it plays into the one that Tamara is the child of Robin and Marian. For this theory to be able to play out, I think Tamara would have had to have been in an Emma-esque situation, where either her pregnant mother, or herself as a baby, was sent to our world. Maybe the situation with a magical tree portal to save an unborn baby wasn’t the first time Blue had done it, and pregnant Marian, or Marian and baby Tamara got away. Tamara would have been told stories about her father and where their family came from and what happened to separate them. Then Marian died in our world, and Tamara ended up stuck in the “anger” phase of grieving, because her mother was gone and she never knew her father…which is the fault of magic. Perfect recruit for The Home Office. (I know this isn’t taking the grandmother into account, but let’s assume that she was the only person who Tamara had left after her mother died, but then grandma died too, and Tamara no longer had anyone to hold her accountable, so she threw herself full force into her current cause).
Anyway…if a situation like that proves true for Tamara’s history…then GOAT and Henry end up in FTL and run into long lost Papa Robin, he may be the one to trigger a change in Tamara and explain to her how wrong she is to have this vendetta against magic. Also, it would add tension between GOAT if Greg’s just discovered that his father died, but then Tamara gets reunited with hers, who she wasn’t even looking for.
I like this idea. I haven’t really been on the Tamara being RH and Marian’s daughter bandwagon but I do like the idea that RH is left in FTL and either Tamara and grandmother crossed over or pregnant Marian. Maybe a pregnant Marian crosses over to our world and happens upon a kind older woman who is there for Marian and listens to her story about how she (Marian) to came to our land what magic has done to her and her family and how she had to leave behind her true love. And then after, Tamara is born, Marian falls ill again and dies, leaving Tamara in the care of this woman who Tamara eventually calls grandmother. But she raises Tamara thinking that magic is evil and unholy and killed her parents. Could this be plausible?
And I really like the idea of Tamara meeting her father in FTL and telling her she got everything wrong.

How would they even coordinate such a thing in a very short space of time? Put a flier on the town notice board saying: “Everyone who wants to go back to FTL, please report to the former bean field promptly at 2pm, at which time Emma will attempt to open a massive portal for you all to jump into. Yes we know, she doesn’t have full control of her powers yet, but we’re sure it’ll be safe. We’re not coming ourselves just yet, but hope to meet you on the other side one day soon. We’ll find you, promise. *fingers crossed* Much love, from your fearless leaders, TeamCharmings.”
Yes.

Unless the have unfinished business. Emma sends everyone to the EF, thinking the family can go after GOAT. But then they discover that GOAT has gone and the one portal Emma could open is closed and she’s drained. Enter Hook with this stolen bean and a ship to NL.
That’s an interesting idea. I definitely think that Hook will show up with his stolen bean and the Jolly Roger. But I do wonder about Emma being able to send everyone to the EF. I think she will stop the fail safe somehow but still not sure how and what effect that will have. I will have to think about it some more. 😉

Taking up the “sewing” idea, which is interesting. Maybe he’s holding them captive until he finds the right one to join with, not just become a part of, but actually inhabit the body of another person. Maybe he wants “form”.
Oooooo. That’s really really creepy. 😯

ParticipantSo if Bae fell through the portal for 100-150 years, why didn’t that happen to anyone else? It seems like Hook immediately ended up in NL and when Hook and Cora traveled by bean, they came to Storybrooke right away as well.

But then why won’t the Shadow let boys leave NL? Why is he holding them “captive” (for wont of a better term until we learn more about it)?
Maybe it needs time to try and figure out if it can “fit” any of them. After all, it is still a shadow, granted a magical shadow, but maybe it still needs someone to “sew” it on?
The same question could be asked why the shadow would keep all the other boys “hostage” if it is looking for Bae?
On another note, this thread is going by so quick tonight. I can’t seem to keep up. 😀
