Best news ever: 3 months hiatus from the show(not from the filming, but lets pretend is the same thing)
I stopped following the filming, and I might stop watching the show. It has come to the point that I can’t even enjoy season 1 anymore.

Bar FarerParticipantI think Thandie Newton, Anthony Hopkins and Jeffrey Wright all should be considered for an Emmy. I’ve actually been particular impressed with Jeffrey Wright as Bernard.
Yes,…but that would mean Lana Parrilla wouldn’t get one *sob*
She’ll never get one as long as she’s on OUAT.

Bar FarerParticipantA&E might have changed things because people figured it out, they don’t really care for storytelling anymore, only to shock people, and they can’t shock anyone if they figured it out.
This or it is in the episodes which were supposed to air on January before they decided to wait till March.

Bar FarerParticipantBar Farer, if you read the giver, why dont you also read gathering blue, the messenger, and Son. the last two being incredibly awsome!!
I read it a long time ago when I was in high school and I never realized it had more books, it never felt like a series.
As for TV shows I watch, I like Westworld and I’m looking forward to Gilmore Girls revival.
I finally stopped watching Grey’s Anatomy because enough is enough, and I might do the same with Modern Family and TBBT and OUAT. Haven’t decided yet.
I guess I’m just not into TV nowadays like I used to…

Bar FarerParticipantAbout this season 6 of OUAT, I guess it is kind of meh. I feel like it is not as ridiculous as seasons 3B-5, but the first four episodes were not that interesting, 605 was bad and a total letdown since I have been waiting since season 1 that they’ll introduce Aladdin and Jasmine. I don’t know what 606 even was, I didn’t pay much attention to that episode, people can totally skip that episode (are episodes like this the reason why people think Hook is an interesting character?!)
607 was a major improvement and 608 seems better, so I have hopes to the rest of the season but I know they’ll mess it up lol…
Anyway, I still haven’t figure out what’s the point of this season other than to show how fabulous the Evil Queen is…

Bar FarerParticipantI might have exaggerated. Season 1 was a good adaptation, season 2-4 did follow the major events from books 2-3 (although sometimes they rearranged the order of events and some of the characterization was different), but book 4-5 were never made to screen IMO with few exceptions: Cersei’s walk of shame, Jaime and Blackfish confrontation at Riverrun and Arya’s earlier days at Braavos.

Bar FarerParticipantSince I’m here already.. I will put in my 2 cents. I’ve been reading teen books recently and noticed a trend in today’s lit geared for teens. Basically, it’s all about sex.. the hero is usually a girl and she usually has a boyfriend who is very much like hook. Hunger Games, Divergent, Legend etc. also, the only series I actually like was the giver but it isn’t popular among the teens because there was not much sex in it (if at all) but “the giver series, and especially “son Tells a g r e a t story
The Giver is a great book, I only read the first one.
I don’t think The Hunger Games is about sex at all, yeah there is a love triangle, but a lot of great stories has those. The Hunger Games don’t focus on that. Katniss, Peeta and Gale are good rounded characters (none of them are like Hook) and Katniss’ relationship with each is well developed. I didn’t read the rest of the teens novels.
If you want to read a really great book series, you should read a Song of Ice and Fire (which has nothing to do with Game of Thrones and people shold stop conflating between them).

Do people still belive that the show depict good morals after that?!
