The thing I love most about Skin Deep is it’s beautiful but not cheesy nor cliche.
I still think it’s my favorite ep of the show so far. Can’t wait for the finale to blow my mind.BTW, did the actors tweet anything after Ep21?
I completely agree. For an episode that focused entirely on romance, it was probably one of the least cheesy, and probably one of the more darker episodes of the season. That’s why I love Rumpel’s character centric episodes so much. They’re always so dark. It’s a nice departure from the show’s usual cheesiness.

For a split second in last night’s episode, I thought Mr. Gold already knew about Belle. When he told Regina, “you no longer have anything I want,” I automatically thought: BELL!!! But alas, it was probably just my shipper brain kicking into overdrive. π
I almost thought that, but then I dropped the idea. I think Mr. Gold is still in the dark in regards to Belle’s existence. But I would be delightfully surprised if he did in fact know about Belle. I would if the big trip he was planning was for him to take Belle and look for his son.
My hidden shipper consciousness wants to believe that Mr. Gold already knows about Belle, but I’m pretty sure that he doesn’t. But I would love for either him or Emma to find Belle before Regina gets her hands on her.
Does anyone else think that Mr. Gold might not even believe that Belle is real? After his experience with August, he’s probably so closed off that no one wil be able to enter. I wouldn’t be surrpised if in the beginning, he thinks he seeing things, or maybe Regina is playing on a trick on him. π₯
beauty the beastParticipantI don’t think he’s concerned about the town folk discovering who is. He’s not even in the book. However wrote that book, intentionally kept Rumpelstiltskin out of the story. That’s why I tend to lean towards either Mr. Gold or Baelfire writing the book. Even though it would be difficult for Baelfire to have written it. He wasn’t around when the stories in the book took place. But I would like to know why Rumpel isn’t in the book. The book makes Regina look like the primary villain and NO ONE ELSE. I can’t help but think that Someone Mr. Gold loves or Mr. Gold himself wrote the book. The way the book is writeen benifits Mr. Gold way too much. It’s almost as if someone was trying to protect Rumpel by leaving him out of the book.
And even if Rumpel is in the book, I’d be a little disappointed that Henry wasn’t able to figure ut out. He’s able to figure out that a cricket is Dr. Hopper and a wolf is Ruby, but he can’t figure out who Mr. Gold is? Not buying it. So, I refuse to believe that Henry is that dense. He’s a smart little boy. He would have figured it out by now. So, I’m 99% sure that Rumpel isn’t in the book.

Thanks for posting all the awesome fan fics! I’m going to be drowning in Rumbelle goodies all weekend!
Oh, I love this couple so much. After only one episode, these two have stolen my heart. I have never been this passionate about a ship in my entire life. It’s so beautiful and romantic and heartbreakingly tragic. I don’t think my heart could handle anything less than a happy ending for these two. I know I’ll have to wait a few seasons for it (possibily the entire series) but it’s worth the wait. I love everything about these two and I’ll wait a thousand years for their happy ending. π
I’d wait forever too. I’m very patient when it comes to my favorite ships. Just as long as neither Belle or Rumpel is killed off, I’ll be fine.
I read a theory that said Regina will take “custody” of Belle and become her official guardian. Regina will take Belle into her home and dangle her in front of Mr. Gold whenever he gets…out of line. Oh, THE ANGST!!! π₯ π₯ π₯
beauty the beastParticipantI can’t wait to see Jefferson either. I’ll go absoultely ga-ga if ABC releases a sneak peek featuring Jefferson.
beauty the beastParticipantThese two have become all-time favorite couple. I loved seeing Rumpel actually fall in love with someone. I never would have expected Rumpelstiltskin (of all people) to have a true love. In many aspects, I find their romance more tragic and beautiful than Snow and Charming’s. There’s a strong undercurrent of death and tragedy that makes this couple particularly heartbreaking. I hope nothing happens to Belle. He’s going to need both Belle and Baelfire to bring him back into the light and return him to the gentle loving man he once was. Baelfire and Belle both kept trying to convince him to get rid of his powers, but he refused. So, now that both Belle and Baelfire are alive at the same time, he can finally work towards his happy ending.
And in regards to what they’ll say to each other in the finale, I don’t really care what it is to be honest. π Even if all they share is a lingering look and few words, that’s actually better. That means that their story will be drawn out and will take (hopefully) many seasons to complete. π

sometimes I just wish the write kill off Belle in Season I so I don’t have to be so addicted to and excited about her re-appearance. How can I be relief this whole summer not knowing what gonna happen between her and Mr. Gold? It’s killing me. I truly want this girl to have her happy ending. It just doesn’t look quite promising at the moment.
LOL!!! π But if she died, then we’d never see her again. π₯ However, these writers do have a tendency to torture their audience. So, we might have to wait forever. π₯
you are right. Belle character brought me most inspiration of the show. If she is killed of for Season I, I will have to kiss OUAT goodbye, and stick to other less-heart-broken show.
I also love Belle. I’ll be so heartbroken is she’s killed off in the season finale. π₯ I’d hate if we were forced to wait all season for her return only for her to be killed as soon as she walks out of the asylum. π‘

Is Jefferson going to be in both of the next two episodes?
Yes, I think so. A new promo for next week’s episode was released and it had the Mad Hatter in it. π
Do you think it’s hatter from before Storybrooke or after? I can’t find screen caps so I can’t really tell
He’s dressed as the Mad Hatter, but it doesn’t look like he’s Wonderland. It kind of looks like Fairytale land. I wonder if he was able to go back to Fairytale land?

I just don’t see what the point would be of making a character who is already miserable even more miserable. We’ve already seen him go through the loss of the two people he loved. We’ve seen him dealing with the pain and guilt for centuries. If we were to see him experience yet another loss there wouldn’t be too much character development, I think. Something has to change to keep his story interesting and change the dynamics a bit. The writers can’t make him go through the same type of situation over and over again. That’s not good writing in my opinion.
I agree. The same storylines being constantly repeated would become tiresome. I expect each character to change and evolve. I expect Mary Margaret to become stronger, I expect Emma to become more strategic, I expect Regina to reveal different layers to herself. Each character has to change and keeping them the same would grow tiresome.
And I agree, Midnight Dreary, Rumpel has already lost enough loved ones. He can’t keep paying for the price of magic because he has nothing else to give. In terms of truly precious possessions (like family members or lovers), Rumpel is out of stock.
