I think that Rumpel wanted the bottle of love because it is part of the ingredients for the Dark Curse. He seemed to have a shelf full of things and that was the last one. That may be why Emma is the savior to break the curse because the bottle of love came from her parents.
this is my favorite theory so far – it makes perfect sense as to why Emma must be the savior of the curse, and it couldn’t have been anyone else’s child.

ParticipantI read these same tweets, and agree that we may be seeing Belle In the finale! Which leads me to wonder if someone is going to find out about Regina’s little hiding place for her. Not necessarily Gold (though I want it to be him – Belle should not be kept from her beast!) but someone who may casually mention it in the future to Gold, just in passing. Or perhaps they exchange the information for something in return? One of Golds/Rumples famous deals.
What if the favor Emma owes Gold is going to be to get Belle out of the prison she is in. As the sheriff, she has the greatest ability to explore the town with little repercussions (not counting Regina of course). All she may need is some law excuse to search the hospital and bam, Belle is found.
Hmm, there is a lot to think about. Either way, I just hope we do get to see her – I want Belle to become one of the more recurring characters on the show!

ParticipantI also read that Disney granted full rights to any character and story to OUAT (of course, they are basically granting it to themselves as they own ABC 😆 ) And I also agree that Disney seems to have pretty decent abilities to use Peter Pan outside just the movie ( after all, they have made a second move, they have him visiting the parks, they have a ride of his adventures in the parks- no copyright problems there). But this interview was only taken a couple days ago so I am not sure where the mix up is on the status of Peter Pan.
As I said in the beginning, I would just DIE if they did Peter Pan. With Belle and Peter in the same series they have me hooked ( no pun intended) ! Maybe it is an issue of deviating from the original story that has the copyright on it. If they are trying to put a twist on the original Peter Pan, it could be what is causing them an issue.

ParticipantJust found this to go along with my original thinking – I hope their desperate attempts work out!
Characters on Horowitz and Kitsis’ wishlist
We’ve seen lots of famous characters appear on “Once Upon a Time.” They’ve done Snow White, Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Hansel and Gretel and many more. So who will they tackle next? The producers confessed that they’re desperately trying to get their hands on Peter Pan. They’d love to do Ariel from The Little Mermaid, Rapunzel, and Mulan is also a favorite.

ParticipantSo the mad hatter knows who he is? This curse doesnt seem to be working the way the EQ hoped. Rumple knows who he is, this guy (from the promo) seems to know who he is, and David is already having flashbacks to FTL.

I think there’s a good reason why Henry can’t seem to figure out who Mr. Gold is…yet (as he said to Emma in episode 4).
Rumplestiltskin is the only character that apparently knows or has been involved in practically everyone’s story, right up until Emma is saved from the curse. This is why I’m inclined to think that Mr. Gold is the writer of the book, not August. That would certainly help keep him busy while waiting for Emma to show up in Storybrooke.
Wow! Your whole post makes so much sense to me, and I had forgotten that Henry didn’t know who Mr Gold was. It would make absolute sense that he wasn’t in the book. And with Gold still loving to strike deals across town, you would think it would have been an easy link for Henry to make. Rumple not being in the book is an awesome theory!! Great thinking!

ParticipantI think this makes the theory of Pinocchio and August more plausible in my mind knowing the fairy tale story line in this episode and the title being called ‘the stranger’.It strangely links together as August still is technically a stranger to us, and when seeing the title of the episode I immediately thought this would be when we found out who he was.

ParticipantWow, I love this idea! But i think, like Rumplesgirl, that Emma probably is not Wendy. Perhaps Peter was in Never Never Land when the curse was intact, so he avoided it. Allowing Peter (or maybe August) to travel to our world and grow up to save everyone in FTL.

ParticipantI thought of this too – I am kind of hoping that she is locked away somewhere, mainly because we haven’t found the body yet and we have only just started Katherine and Fredrick’s story line. Yet, I did see an interview that said the battle will come with casualties as we observed with Graham. So I’m really unsure. If Katherine didn’t have a heart i think it would have had to be taken out in FTL not SB. Taking out someone’s heart and allowing them to still be functional is definitely not something we can do in our world and as there has been no evidence of magic.
I also wondered if the dna sent in was tampered with. It would not be unheard of to, say, send in the heart of a horse with a strand of mane – it could easily be mistaken for hair and the DNA would come out a match.
All in all though, I unfortunately think she may have not slipped through Ragina’s hands. She has made it clear to us that she disposes of those she no longer has a need for. David loves MM and Katherine saw that. She can no longer be used as a puppet to keep them apart and therefore has no use to the EQ.

ParticipantI’m not sure Rumple’s point in giving SW the bow and arrow was ever to kill the queen. Like we have seen before, he carefully answers SW question in a way that she wants but perhaps has a deeper meaning. Rumple carefully chooses the words “The arrow never misses it’s target” but who is it to say that Charming wasn’t the target all along. Perhaps in order for the two hairs to combine into the love potion, they had to be in love in that moment. It was clearly paralleled that as SW and Charming kissed again, Rumple bottled their hairs together.
On another note, i think it was the bottling of these two hairs together and the actual potion made from their love that keeps MM and David together in SB. They have a draw to each other like no one else has with their FTL counterpart. Sure other couples have stayed together, but theirs is so much deeper and richer than others. Just a thought.
Also, didn’t rumple comment that once he has bottled love he would have mastered all powers or all elements or something along those lines?
Do you think the bottles were transported somewhere into SB, like the other FTL artifacts? I don’t think it would be unheard of.
