ParticipantI guess the vault contains the original power and once Rumple died he was dragged back there somehow because the darkness has to have some kind of host. Maybe it’s like a genie’s bottle in some way and the only way to escape it is to die and have your murderer assume the dark powers.
Are all the previous Dark Ones stuck in there or (more likely) only the most recent Dark One (Rumple).
It would be interesting to see more of the Dark Powers origins some day.

ParticipantI certainly wasn’t happy about what happened to Bae. I cried my eyes out. I’m not really a ‘shipper’ and I didn’t know about the spoilers and I don’t hate the show for the way it happened. It was shocking and sad. I felt horribly for Rumple, Henry and Emma. I’m trying to see it as a form of closure for Rumple and Bae in that Bae finally got to witness with his own eyes how much his papa loves him. He may have ‘chosen the dagger’ once, but he got it right this time. No it’s not a happy ending, but it did have meaning.
Rest in peace Bae

Participantkoffeegirl could be right that Hook hitched up a flying monkey to his sail to cross realms and it could be that Rumple did send Hook, but only because everyone else had already been sent back to Storybrook under the new curse and he for whatever reason couldn’t go himself. Sure it could have been Blue Fairy that made the memory potion for Emma, but Rumple is better for the story. For any story.

ParticipantForget pitching tents under the green-wood with Robin Hood. If I was them I would’ve hot-footed it to Rumple’s ‘rather large estate’ to load up on magic goodies.
Maybe in the next episode.October 20, 2013 at 10:41 pm in reply to: 3×04 “Nasty Habits” FAVORITE AND LEAST FAVORITE MOMENTS #217518bibliophile
ParticipantFavorite – When Pan caught the arrow but Bae outsmarted him by putting the squid ink on the shaft instead of the tip.
Least Favorite – When Bae rejected his father. Seriously was Rumple that bad of a father to Baelfire? He said he was willing to die for Henry and Bae couldn’t even give him a chance.

ParticipantMaybe it’s the other way around and Rumpelstiltskin wasn’t Rumple’s original name. Maybe the spinsters who raised him called him that for some reason.
After all Cinderella wasn’t Cinderella’s real name. It was a nickname she got from sleeping by the fire.

ParticipantI like the theory about Rumple and Peter Pan being brothers. It fits the family theme of the series and it makes for more compelling story lines if they are indeed brothers instead of just villains who happen to have met before.
Of course I would’ve been happy with Rumple being Regina’s father too. I love the gnarled and twisted family tree that OUAT is growing.
