ParticipantTiny’s gift to Henry is unintentionally hilarious. One bean means “Go away and don’t come back.”
This really made me laugh. I hadn’t thought of it like that, but it’s so true. Tiny basically gives Henry a one way ticket out of town with no sure way back. 🙂

ParticipantSo all the returning people will play their ‘wish realm’ selves? Ugh.
Is it ok for me to say I kind of hate Wish Realm and all it’s Nooky nonsense? I do love Alice and I’m excited for the double Rumple finale, but the Wish Realm itself is so stupid as a continuing subplot. Why do these people still exist after Emma left? Why do they have fully fledged backstories when they didn’t exist until Evil Queen granted Emma’s wish? The only recent subplot that’s worse to me is the whole ‘New Enchanted Forest’ thing. One Cinderella is all we need. Just give Henry a new princess to marry and forget trying to shoehorn in a glass slipper.
The Apprentice being back might be related to Rumple (I assume) finally slaying the darkness for good and ‘getting home’ to Belle. Hopefully after getting hugs and some real family moments with Henry.

ParticipantIt’s almost as if the writers didn’t think this whole ‘wish realm’ subplot out very thoroughly isn’t it? 🙂

ParticipantAn obvious question just occurred to me. If there are now two Rumples does that mean there are now two daggers as well? And are there now two separate Dark Ones existing in the two separate Rumples?

ParticipantRumple isn’t there either. He’s the golden thread running through every story. He should be in the family photos.

ParticipantMy opinion on Wish Rumple is that he will be CRAZY. After losing Bae and Belle (and possibly Bae again after all Wish Henry had to be born somehow) he just went nuts and let the darkness take him over until there is very little of the real Rumplestiltskin left in him.
I think this will be a fun finale and I did not think that until I saw Wish Rumple pop up.
I always try and remember that our Rumple is really two people (or possibly more depending on how you view all those dark ones in season five), a good but weak man who wanted to save his son and an evil entity bent on doing evil things for evil’s sake. Our Rumple has always or nearly always stayed on top of the darkness and managed to make some good decisions, but this Rumple looks to have given in to the darkness entirely so he will be a very dangerous man indeed.

ParticipantI am thinking the writers did pretty good wrapping up this mess of a season … let us face it this story was written after they got the word the show was cancelled … they had to end it up some way… this was pretty good. . .
I agree I think this episode was written after they knew. Possibly if there was an eighth season in the offing we would’ve seen Facilier as the final villain of S7 (complete with sad backstory) and they would’ve saved Wish Rumple for the series finale instead.

ParticipantYeah this was a good one at last. They gave us lot of little remembrances and filled in a few plot holes (though I dare say even with this jump backward in time 15-20 years the timeline is still a tangled mess). I loved seeing Granny and the bean from Tiny and at least a mention of Grumpy. But like the season opener when Henry rode off on August’s motorcycle with only Regina to say goodbye…I think Emma really would’ve been there. Shoot one scene out of order and have her giving Henry a hug in his cap and gown. That’s all they needed was a few seconds with Emma interacting with her son to make it all feel real.
The phone call was great. I enjoyed the interaction and the timey whimeyness of it all.
I’m glad Gothel is gone.
The shrinking thing was silly.
So so happy that Henry broke the curse by kissing his step-great grandma instead of Jacinda.
Why in all the hugging could not one person find a second to hug Rumple. The man clearly needs hugs. Lots of hugs.
Facilier had a lot of potential as a villain, but ultimately they did nothing with him and we’ll never even now why he wanted the dagger. Why he helped Lucy one day and locked up her family the next. I’m guessing he had a tragic childhood where a lot of mean blond girls in fancy dresses threw playing cards and pins or something at him and made him become a villain.
The ending was awesome. Double Rumple running amuck through (I assume/hope) Storybrooke is a dream for a Rumple fan. Hopefully it doesn’t turn into a nightmare later.

ParticipantExcited. Definitely excited.
We suffered through a serum split Regina. Through Hook and Nook. And now finally in the end we get to the good double act… RUMPLE!!!!!!!! Does this make The Wish Realm a good idea? No. But at least we’re finally getting something fun out of it. At least I sure hope so.
Granted it could all end in tears, maybe the happy tears or the sad tears or worst of all (please no) the angry tears. But for now I’m just excited to see two Rumples, both the sweet and the bonkers versions, being important in the finale instead of being shoved into the background.
But for the love of heaven could someone please hug Rumple. Why when the hugs start does no one ever think to hug the loneliest man in the room?

ParticipantYou…might be interested in my fanfic. https://archiveofourown.org/series/470182
That was excellent! Clearly you are the nerd they needed to hire because not only was your story well written, but it managed to fix all the problems with the Dark Swan/Camelot arc. You also captured the real emotion and relationships that these characters should have. Thank you!
