My very first impression of him was to want to kick Milah out of her chair in the bar and sit there myself with that fine view across the table. Pour me another, plz, Mr Jones! 😉
Aye, Aye, Captain! Who would have ever thought Captain Hook could be so hot? 😀
In movies and literature, pirates are often “romanticized”; they have this swashbuckling appeal, this bad-boy charm, all dating back to the days of Erroll Flynn. I believe K & H are going in the same direction here. He’s going to be the bad-boy figure to oppose Charming’s clean, altruistic hero. I wouldn’t be surprised if there was some chemistry between Hook and Emma…imagine her parents’ reactions! Snow: “How could you fall for that…that PIRATE! You have to marry a Prince!” 😆
Maybe I’m getting ahead of myself but chances are they will meet. He was so close to the “safe haven” at the end of the episode…I’m predicting sparks will fly, and not only from the sparkly dirt!
Moreover, I believe the real trend this reason is to show that most of the “villains” we’ve come to know are not completely bad, rotten to the core, but for one glaring exception: Cora – indeed, rotten to the “core”. It would be awesome to see all of them team up to fight her, the one true villain. Hook may be allied to Cora now, but I don’t think that will last long… he’s blindsided by his hate for Rumple and perhaps, “twwuu wuv” might give him a change of heart and a good dose of forgiveness? We’ll see…

I’m so excited to have Cora become the main villain for awhile! Like you said, feels like the fandom will finally get to bond over hating the same character…..until some weird ones start hero worshipping her- there’s always going to be someone loving her for being BAD 🙄
Kind of worried that she’s able to shape shift, knows Henry’s name, and has the goal of heading to Storybrooke. If she manages to get there before Snow and Emma, and shifts into one of them – all bets are off to what she could do. Regina and Henry are in danger!
I am wondering how much of what Cora said as Lancelot is true – is she really unaware of why this area was not effected by the curse? I thought for a second maybe she cast a spell to protect herself (and ended up shielding a section of land) but then why is she trying to escape to our world? Besides to get revenge on Regina…
I think it is very likely we’ll see a showdown between Regina and Cora at some point, and for the first time I’m actually hoping Regina will find a way to get her powers back and under control. It would be so awesome to see her using them to defend Storybrooke from Cora! Let’s keep in mind we never saw Regina and Cora together while both had powers…Regina got hers just as she got rid of Cora. Wouldn’t that be like the Battle of the Year?
If it comes to that I don’t think Rumpel will get involved. He’s got another agenda, and frankly I don’t think he even cares…

I don’t see any reason why she should get rid of all of her magic and leverage just yet. She may be trying to change, but it would be idiotic of her not to have an ace in the hole just in case.
I’m guessing she’s going to need some, if not all, of that stuff if Cora ever finds her way to Storybrooke….I wouldn’t be surprised if she had to use her magic to actually defend Storybrooke from Cora…
bigredParticipantMy favorite moment is not just a moment per se but how we see Regina evolve from selfish, vindictive witch, wanting to get Henry back at all costs to realizing she had turned into the very same thing she hated and had been so determined not to turn into: her mother.
Least favorite moment: Who died and made Mulan the queen of their little “safe haven”? Why is she calling the shots? Is it because Prince Phillip died and she was his “second in command”? I hated the way she treated Snow and Emma!
Funniest moment: Dr. Whale asking Charming if the nuns were still nuns and if they could date! LOL!!! 😆
bigredParticipantI really like the Dr. Whale = Dr. Frankenstein theory. The Untold Stories Facebook app provides a little tidbit that strongly supports this – the description of Dr. Whale as having “God-like tendencies”…Frankenstein created life were there was none – he was “playing God”. I like it! I totally see Whale as Frankenstein!
bigredParticipantCould I please be the keeper of Sheriff Graham’s skinny jeans, Ruby’s red shorts and Dr. Whale’s white coat?
bigredParticipantI was so blown away and so happy so see him! He did indeed look more handsome than ever! But I don’t think there was a big reveal in his appearance…it makes sense that Regina kept him around as her arm candy after she took away his heart…

We saw August turn into a giant man-size puppet. Since Emma broke the curse and Mr. Gold brought magic to SB, I’m really hoping that August will be around as a normal man next season and that we don’t just see Pinocchio in FTL flash-backs. Also, I’d love for Emma and August’s relationship to develop more, either as brother-sisterly love or a deep friendship.
OK, this will probably sound crazy, but I wouldn’t put it past the writers to try it….we saw in FT land Pinocchio as the animated puppet on the raft, THEN Blue Fairy turned him into a real boy. So my craaazy theory is that August will be revived as a huge animated puppet man, then he has to prove his worth to be turned into a real man again. Let’s not forget he lied and was not a good boy, which is why he was turning back into wood. He might have to so something to gain that right to be human again. It would be kinda freaky to see August as a huge puppet…and so funny. The writers said Pinocchio’s story would continue, but not that Eion Bailey would….in any case i’d love to see Geppetto’s reaction.

There are now fairy tale characters in the real world with memories intact and magic to boot!
My head is still spinning! The implications of this are huge! Does this mean that Gold will now become the Dark One again? His knife will have power! Ruby will be able to turn into a wolf! Regina will be able to rip beating hearts out of people chests in broad daylight…so much good fun now! But I’m guessing they still won’t be able to leave Storybrooke..that the magic will be contained somehow. Argh!!! Too many things to think about! That’ll keep us busy till Season 2…
