Whenever I fall under the spell of doubts regarding SWANFIRE (very few times), I look forward to how the swanfire community lift each other up with reassuring words and romantic swanfire artwork.
I hope I ‘get’ A & E’s concept of OUAT, their dream and vision of the ‘what ifs’ fairy tale characters that have depth and contradictions to their one dimensional identities.
And, to add spice to their exquisite fantasy, they threw into the mix, a modern day heroine, living in our world, yet was born in FTL…the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming.
A & E also integrated into this dark fantasy, a love story like no other……SWANFIRE!
Nealfire’s hero heart has remained hidden from Emma, but it is not a tragedy. On the contrary, imagine Emma’s realization of Nealfire’s profound sacrifice ….to forsake his own happiness with Emma so that Emma can find her way back home. I hope to see Emma’s heart wavering between sadness and joy when the truth is revealed.
Nealfire is Emma’s match. Both struggling to find closure from abandonment and betrayal. Both feeling a pull to each other that is so strong that nothing…no portal…no cage….no spell can keep them apart. That pull is love, baby!
How could Nealfire NOT BE VIABLE to OUAT……..he is connected to each one of the characters!
As I see it:
Nealfire represents the bridge created between the FTL world and the LWM world.
Emma embodies the despair, hope and happy endings inherent in both worlds.
Henry is the love child that merges these two worlds together

I was watching a 1953 movie called Kismet…and a thought occurred……that is exactly what Swanfire is….an enchanted albeit star crossed romance:
KISMET = FATE, DESTINY = SWANFIRE
Here are my memories of Swanfire Kismet tidbits:
Emma makes a wish on her birthday…..and voila…..Henry appears at her door.
In Emma’s Boston apartment, are two keepsakes that tie her to love and belonging: her ‘EMMA’ baby blanket her parents wrapped her in and Neal’s Swan Necklace that lies close to her heart!
Emma hijacking that adorable yellow beetle that Neal was hijacking……what are the odds!!!!! :o)
The dreamcatcher……
…only lets the good dreams in to protect your home
Henry’s camera will have the same effect on Emma’s memories as Henry’s Fairytale Book…Emma’s mind will be filled with the past 3 years….and I hope it includes the memories of Emma declaring her love for Neal……TWICE!
Just saw 3×12 sneak peek. IMO, if Neal was transported to NYC to convince Emma to take the potion that would restore her memories from the past three years, Emma would completely shut down to any of his pleas and explanations. Emma’s last memory of Neal was his betrayal:( With such intense feelings swimming around her wounded heart, Emma would have him arrested. Not good for Neal, considering his criminal past. Entrusting Hook with the task of convincing Emma of her true heritage was the logical choice.
I can’t wait for the moment when Emma remembers……and what events will spur her to rescue the people she’s come to realize she loves……Neal and her parents.
Close your eyes, make a wish and blow out the candle Emma, your wish has been granted!

I’ve bookmarked a site that has OUAT scripts for season 1 and 2. It helps me see the whole picture from an episode ……when I am absorbed by the visuals and miss out on conversations between the characters. Countdown begins for SWANFIRE !
Hey Josephine….here’s the deal on A & E vision for OUAT when it premiered 3 years ago…..HOPE, FAMILY AND HAPPY ENDINGS.
Nothing is more important than family ….
. Don’t get hung up on the obstacles that prevent lovers and family members being re-united. Cases in point…..Emma and her parents….re-united YES….Emma and Henry…..YES…….Henry and Nealfire….YES….Snow and Charming….YES….Rumple and Bae….YES….Rumple and Belle….YES…..Ariel and Prince Eric….YES…..Aurora and Prince Philip….YES……Abigail and Frederick……YES…..Jefferson and his daughter…..YES…..Geppetto and his son….YES…have I left anyone out :o) Can you see the repeating theme? We need the obstacles the tension, the adventure….THE HOPE…..it makes the re-union bittersweet and forges a stronger love bond between lovers and families. And Hook is just eye candy and a plot filler. Nothing more. No threat to Emma’s and Nealfire’s true love.
Enjoy the their incredible journey in their own redemption and love for one another!
WHOA….what is this atmosphere of despondancy? Remember the scene in 301 where Regina, Snow, Charming & Hook are bickering about that mermaid. Emma said to them
Enough, we need to think this through!
Well, let’s heed Emma’s wisdom and think this through.
During the in-fighting between RSC&H, Emma figured out what was causing the storm……so what does Emma do……she jumps overboard because she knew it was the only way to have them stop being distracted and focus on saving her. For me, the storm is a symbol of the media who intentially cause a frenzy when they release so called scoops on the demise of an integral character to the story, or release misleading photos or unverified interviews. This is a tactic to ensure the fans will watch the show.
So I am focusing on the core message of the OUAT: HOPE
On ABC’s official website is a quote by Edward Kitsis

Nealfire is on a mission to OZ, to solicit help from the wizard so he can save his Papa from Zelena (BTW, in Czech Zelena means green)……Hook will be exposed as a mercenary…….Hook will redeem himself……..Emma and Nealfire will re-unite and proclaim their love to the delight of Henry and their families :o)
Another BTW……301 The Heart of the Truest Believer is no accident as a title episode….it embraces the values of hope, family, true love and faith.
Have faith in SWANFIRE :o)
Hi Artseediva…..you have a dream like quality to your art! Can’t wait to see what next, our starry-eyes will behold…..you have joined a group of talented artists who champion SWANFIRE and can transcend with art …..what words….at times….cannot convey. :o)
Good Morning…..Like ALL the OUAT family, I am looking forward to being on edge with anticipation…..to again be enchanted, mystified, stunned . The naysayers, the doomers, the “converts” cannot dampen my belief in A & E vision of happy endings for: SWANFIRE, RUMBLELLE, SNOWING, and (please excuse my attempt at combining names) SWANFIRERY (Emma, Nealfire and Henry). This is a TV show that have captivated us and like other TV series, A & E and their writing team are exasperatingly S T R E T C H I N G the storyline. But, then, the reward of TRUE LOVE is the journey that can’t be told in one hour….it is paved with struggles, anguish and separations, as experienced by SWANFIRE…RUMBELLE…SNOWING.
I read the Hypable article. It seems it is a re-hash from the writer’s Feb., 2014 article. Please don’t assume the writer sat down – one on one- with A & E. The second paragraph states that A & E [quote] answered a few questions from the media[/quote]. The writer along with other members of the media saw a screening of 3×12 back in Feb., 2014. A & E were present and answered questions as per usual…..with crumbs, ……..shrewdly, and calculating. This recent article is indeed hype! I maintain that Neal and Emma are TRUE LOVERS, are destined for one another and will be re-united by the end of season 3. I also maintain Hook is a mercenary who is working for Zelena, for his own opportunistic and narcissistic reasons…which is “winning” Emma’s affections….as if Emma’s heart is something to be toyed with for his own vanity and amusement. Having said this, I also maintain that Hook will redeem himself……through Nealfire. The brief father / son bond they formed in season 2 has reactivated Hook’s sense of honour and valour….and when push comes to shove, Hook will come through and save Nealfire from Zelena.
