theories and speculations are only fun when they are plausible.

Speculation that Kathryn may have stumbled over the threshold and as such could have remembered is based on the fact that her car was right where that threshold is. If all we can discuss about the show is hard facts we have, that takes half the fun out of the whole experience of the show IMO.
Yes, true and you do have a valid point. However, saying something is fact based on a spectulation of another spectulation while disregarding what is fact and putting word into characters’ mouths’ who have not said anything to the affect of what is suggested and on events that have not happened or even come close to ever possibly happeneing due to the mere fact that nothing was said for or against that theory is not good. It is no better than just making it up. Our theories have to be based on facts. Going so far off the reservation based guesses upon guesses is not fun. Some people can view this as or may say like Emma said in the Pilot, “Really!!”.

He only became the Dark One to save his boy. He deserted the Ogre Wars like anyone one who was drafted to any war would. Who wants to be forced to go to war? He is evil but nevertheless because of his need to save his boy he felt aquiring power was the only way to do it. He was tricked by Zoso, the former Dark One to take his life and his place. He takes first borns because first borns go to war. Going on that theory if he takes all of FTL’s first borns no one will go to war for the ones seeking the first borns but go to Rumple and strike a deal for them.
Bear with me on this part of the theory. Rumple acquires the first born because the first born usually achieve military service first among the civilian population. By getting all of them when war comes along everyone of drafting age belongs to Rumple. In order to get those draftees they will have to go to him and of course make a deal. Deals always benefit Rumple and no one else. What if he says you can have all of the first borns but after the war; never wage war ever again and have peace all across the land. Now remember it is a mistake to go back on a deal with Rumple and Rumple will always honor a deal. If you do go back ona a deal it will be for another deal that may end up with a much worse result than if you had honored the first one. Thus you should always honor his first deal and never make another deal to get out of the first one made.

Lemurs: Spectral tarsiers – lemur. Tree Dwellers.
Spectral = SpiritThe writer of the show asked us to pay attention to the lemurs. August tells Ruby Lemurs reflect light in their eyes yet there is no light reflecting in these particular lemurs eyes. Could this be a metaphor for light being good, meaning August is a vengefull spirit (no light – dead or evil.)
Yes. a lot of people took this along with those Wizard of Oz references to mean he was the Wizard or that there will be a Wizard of Oz scenario. The problem with that unlike a Wonderland sceario is that the characters of Oz are consistant throughout the whole story. The whole story centers around the corp of four. Whereas Wonderland is unique enough as we have seen that each character of Wonderland either Wonderland or Looking Glass can stand on its own. We have seen that already in Hat Trick. The Wizard of Oz makes more sense if we all see it as Storybrooke gathering slowly its own corp of four. Emma, Henry, Hopper and August and use the whole entire story of Oz and the strategies the four use to get to Oz, get the brain, heart, courage and the ability to go home at Emerald City. In Emerald ciyt the 4 meet a fifth Oz whoever this mysterious fifth in Storybrooke is will complete the dispelling of the curse. Well this is just a thought…….I have no hard proof of this. I can be wrong and have been in the past on other shows. What does anybody think about this???
charmingParticipantI agree 100%, we haven’t a clue what game he is playing. Him being annoying also makesit interesting too. Take another annoyance David & MM. David is annoying yet interesting at the same time. What want to see if David can get it right and we want to see what Mr. Gold is up to. It makes us want and want more. To find out and it is killing all of us, that is why it is annoying, not necessarily the characters themselves.
charmingParticipantLet’s take a pause for the moment. The facts are: her car was found in a similiar spot as Ashley’s and also where Emma “stopped” in the end of True North. Gym Teacher/Frederick? was seen stopped behind Kath’s car and he got out. This was the after they bumped into each other at school. There was a plot and conspiracy between Gold and Regina. We know not of any concrete details to the plan except for the key plant, and they expect her to run (MMB) that is. Red found the box with the heart and it had Kath’s DNA and it was not glowing and MMB’s fingerprints are on the box. One of the keys on Regina’s skeleton key ring opens MMB and Emma’s apartment door and is one in the same as the key in MMB’s jail cell. Red found Kath is the alley and she seems at first glance to be disoriented and she’s dirty. She was last seen near woods.
Other than what is factual. There are no other real details to say she was or wasn’t captured. Magic or no magic was involved. It does not take magic to plant a key into a cell. It does not take magic to abduct someone and free them. I’m not saying that was how it happened but does anyone see a point to where this is going? we cannot in our predictions or theories talk for the characters or suggest things to they are fact when it is based on speculation to start with. We should look at what is facts, see what is missing, then see if there is a conclusion or not that the path leading to the makes sense or not.
charmingParticipantHow about the fact that most everyone wear a jedi-like cloak with a hood. Charming, Snow, Red, Granny, Rumple, Zoso, Cora even Emma has worn black jacket with hood that looks like a modern version of a cloak with a hood. Perhaps in indicates those who have magic. After all the force is magic in Star Wars Land and all Jedis have it whether they are Jedis or Dark Lords—Sith members. Dark Lord—-Dark One—-Dark Side….
charmingParticipantYou can’t forget “help me Obi Wan you are our only hope”, something similiar was said in Skin Deep or was it The Shepard. maybe both.
charmingParticipantHow about…”there is another” and “he has a twin brother”.
Both refering to Leia. Except twin sister is used. There is another was first said by Yoda before he died. Twin sister/brother was said by Obi Wan to Luke and later by Vader to get Luke mad.charmingParticipantEmma was right for not taking the keys when she saw them in her office. She said herself everytime I went against her she saw it coming. If she took them and then the keys were gone; she was caught in Regina’s office once. Someone like Regina can put two and two together and come up with Emma. They both have a feud going and whether of not she did it she will get blamed, thus Regina = win this time and Emma = loss this time.
