You are onto something…. I will expand on that by saying maybe Snow and Regina both helped each other to get rid of Cora, whether it be banishment, imprisonment or even death; afterwards Regina like she did the genie blames it all on Snow or maybe simply they just had a falling out afterwards. Either or if Cora is out of the way Regina needed either Rumple’s help or Snow’s help. Beside Rumple is nbot even in the picture so at this point it is more plausible that it could be
Snow + Regina – Cora = Regina hates Snow.
Regina + Genie – King Leopold did = Queen Regina then revenge. She said 1 down 1 to go.Regina has a way of using people that is a lot different from the way Rumple uses people. She manipulated then and threatens. Rumple lets them think that they are doing the right thing and it is all there choice when it really isn’t their choice. If you need to see Rumple for answers you must feel there are no other choices even though he tells you how the other choice looks like.
[adrotate group="5"]charmingParticipantThere is not smoking gun evidence of magic but only mere suggestion that it does exist in Storybrook. First, we will start with what Jefferson said in Hat Trick. He said since you are the daughter ot Snow and Chaming and was born in FTL you have magic but do not know it yet. (Not an exact quote but I believe that was where he was going to). The clock restarted at the end of the Pilot. The broken compass at the end of True North started to work. Regina going down into Henry’s crypt, opening a door in the heart chamber and squeezing a heart; then Graham dying of natural causes. Jefferson after getting karate kicked out of a window….where did he go?? Given magic is not said nor is it “in your face kind of thing” but subtlely placed and carefully I might add.
Gold/Rumple cashes in on the deals only when either the souls are desparate or if there is another deal to be had. Emma made that deal in place of another. A similiar situation occurs after the real James died and another deal was struck to get the other James. That I believe was the most complex deal of them all so far. That whole deal was a series of several deal over a period of about 18 to 20 years. Which lead deals struck hear and there as a by product of the grand deal to save King Midas and slay the dragon by helping out poor King George. Going on that note the deal, don’t sweat it. It I probably phase 1 of grand deal number 2. The grand deal that will top the last.

You don’t think there’s a point of no return with Regina? If she wants to be good, maybe it be too late by then. Maybe the only thing she can do is redeeming herself because Snow White, Charming, Emma, and Henry probably won’t help her. She will have to do it on her own. But that’s for the Regina topic. I guess when talking about Snow, you really must talk about The Evil Queen/ Regina.
But to connect with Snow White, I think she understood now, as a grown woman, that what she did was a terrible mistake and that she’s trying to learn from it by doing good. Even in Snow Falls, Snow admits that she did something horrible to Regina. Yet, I really would like to see if Snow ever apologizes for the mistake she made (other than in Stable Boy).
No I don’t think she is at a point of no return. None of us really do. We all should rewatch every episode and focus our attention on every scene with Regina in it (FTL and Storybrooke) where can we come to the conclusion that she is at a point of no return. For every horrible thing she has done either in FTL and Storybrooke her eyes shows some humanity. When she kills her father Henry for instance, she did correct me if I’m wrong she either said soory or goodbye to him. A cold hearted killer would have just killed and sat down and ate cocoa puffs and then gone to work.
I think after she has a self realization moment of all she did, it is possible for her to be redeemed with or without help. I do not believe she is a character that deserves to die or be killed. Anyone killing her would be no better than Cora whom I believe is the real evil one, the one who made Regina the way she is. Perhaps she is the real villian of this story if she is still alive that is. Also maybe she may be repsonsible for Rumple’s turmoil, if the two have a story together.
I do not believe the real enemy has revealed themself yet. Every character good or bad were victims in someway or another. Whether by another’s doing or themselves, everyone was victimizied. Everyone has made bad decisions in order to try for a better result or has had every good decision backfire on them. Think about it. Rewatch. Then think about some more. There maybe some truth in your theory yet there may also be some truth to mine too.
No, you’re right she did say sorry. You’re right too, there is some humanity in her. Some part of her knows what she is doing is wrong, but she still does them. She knows the right thing to do, but she still does the wrong thing in order to benefit herself. What I’m saying is that there’s a point where all actions, all terrible actions, must be answered for. When I say, a point of no return, I’m also saying will she be forgiven for all the terrible things she’s done? I think there comes a point where you cross a line, Regina crossed it when she took everyone’s happiness away, when she killed two precious soul, when she tried to kill Mary Margaret. She tries to justify her actions, but her reasons are flawed. Regina is a sad woman who feels the world is cruel to her, but really, all the miserable things that happened to her, all the sadness she feels is her own doing She’s a complicated villain, but she still is a villain nonetheless regardless of what she feels afterwards. After all, the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
Well put. I think I can go along with that. To add to this, I do not really think she knows every exact detail to all the events which brought her from there to where she is right now. I think her mother over the years had twisted her mind so much she either did not want to hear them or only heard what she wanted to. Yes, there is and should be a day of reckoning for her. Her punishment should also be the thing she lacked the most and that is to be loved and forgiven, I think then and only then will she feel worse. I can picture her eventually her crying her eyes out in front of every single Storybrooke character looking on with shock and awe.

It’s possible that the ward where Regina is keeping Belle is where she keeps people who remember FTL, but if that’s the case why wasn’t Jefferson in there? When I heard that the Mad Hatter was coming onto the show I was honestly expecting to see him in the loony bin-you’d think he’d be a perfect candidate! Until we see more people in there, I’m going to assume that Belle is the only one down there.
Unless the ward is where Regina keeps her “trump cards” on people she needs a “one up” on. *cue the super mario music*
My best answer to this can only be even though he was from fairy tale land, he was left in Wonderland. Wonderland is like a prison itself and his house could be the Storybrooke representation of Wonderland. Hey, it just dawned on my that each building in Storybrooke can represent a part of Fairy Tale Land. Mayor’s house and city hall, her office = Regina’s Palace and other Palace. Snow’s House her little hideaway after she ran from the Huntsman. Can anyone see where I can be going with this? What are the thought out there? Ya Think??? Could be?
charmingParticipantI don’t think so either but nevertheless Mr. Gold did in a sense buy a Sheriff which is also a one up one Mayor Regina. I do not believe Mr. Gold takes pleasure in killing. His power comes from the deal me makes. He is a collector not a killer. He collects power. Collectors feel that killing will only diminish their power while aquiring and keeping increases their power.
charmingParticipantI can go along with that. How would things change if it were discovered that Cora did kill Snow’s mom and how about if Snow also knows of the plot and knows who was involved? so it isn’t plausible she did it on purpose as revenge for her mother? Is a little girl capable of revenge of that sort? I myself am not so sure, after all this is a fairy tale based story.
charmingParticipantPoints taken. You are right not every girl is a daddy’s girl, I have two sisters; one is and one isn’t. Yes, James as David is more of a “Prince Bone Head” than Prince Charming. I certainly does everything to not help his case to win point from Mm and Emma and every opportunity he has to gets points he fails to take. David, Prince Bone Head of Storybrooke.
Inasmuch as he gets on my nerves I can’t help but root for him. In David one can see an average man because every man who is interested in a woman no matter how smart he is….he is also a dope. Even a man who thinks he knows a lot about woman…there will come a woman that will prove him otherwise.

1. Why is Emma Swan the “key” to breaking the curse?
2. Will Emma Swan need to be sacrificed in order to break the curse?
3. How does Emma Swan’s presence effect the lives of those in Storybrook?
4. How will Emma Swan’s “key status” effect the destiny of her son Henry?
5. What is Emma Swan’s relation to August W. Booth?
6. Will Emma Swan ever develop an alliance with Mr. Gold?
7. Will Emma Swan ever guess Mr. Gold’s true name?
8. If so, will she have supreme power over Mr. Gold/Rumpelstiltskin?
9. Will Emma Swan ever have a Fairytale counterpart?
10. Is Emma Swan’s ability to tell when people are lying a mystical power?
11. Will Emma Swan ever develop mystical powers?1) It seems to be connected to Rumple bottling a hair from Snow and Charming. If why can find out why and for what reason and determine if there is a connection to Emma then for that part of it is unknown. Jefferson did say she had magic. She did start the clock tower again. She was also the first person to stand up to Regina and Rumple. After she stood up to Rumple, Dr. Hopper then stood up to her. She basically nearly completed two storylines. True North and The Cinderella story. Finally, after kissing Graham got him to remember who he was and also believe it too even though Emma didn’t nor did she realize.
2) I don’t know. I hope if she does, her sacrifice will not be a life; hers or another’s but a symbolic one.
3) I think everything I wrote in one can apply to this one too.
4) Perhaps the deal she made with Mr. Gold for Ashley’s baby is going to come into play. Maybe it is connected to what was said between Gold and Regina regarding Henry.
5) I think other than whoever August was in FTL, his role and job is Guardian of the book and of Emma and now Henry. Perhaps Emma and August will be more than just Guardian and guarded or just friends but perhaps BF and GF??
6) Yes but I do not believe it will be a full one with complete trust. He is too sneaky to have anyone’s complete trust.
7) Maybe she is the one who has to guess his name to beat him.
8) Hmmmmm hard to tell what can happen if that is the “Rumple curse breaker”. The fairy tales; every version has a different outcome. That is a very good question.
9) Yes and having gone through all of my theories and having read all of the other theories; I have settled on Emma. Yes, Emma is Emma’s Fairy Tale Name/Character. She is in the book Henry has as Emma. So why not. We have seen this first the very beginning and sometimes the answer we all seek is right in front of us all along. I hope I am right about this. I want to put money on this but I mostly lose when I gamble.
10) No…..it is a skill that most all law enforcement has but it is not to say that it isn’t an asset of hers. It is also a weapon in her growing arsenal.
11) Yes, according to Jefferson she has magic. if that is true and she does believe she does and in it, than why not. It will potentially be a major weapon she can use at her disposal.
charmingParticipantThank the wiz very much. I am glad that my theories are plausible and by having even just one other person agreeing with me even if it is just the one makes me feel…..well…..charming!!….I guess for a lack of a better self description.

1. How did Cora and Regina get their powers?
I think Cora gained her power over time but probably became ‘intrigued’ by it once she met Rumpelstiltskin. I can see Cora becoming just obsessed with learning so much about magic that it just consumes her.
@Clockwatcher wrote:
2. If “Evil isn’t born; evil is made”, then how did Cora become evil?
I think her power corrupted her and she became evil.
@Clockwatcher wrote:
3. Did Cora have something to do with the death of Snow White’s mother?
Honestly, I would not be surprised if Cora somehow had a hand in the death of Snow’s mother. I mean, she clearly manipulated all the events in “The Stable Boy,” to ensure that Regina marries the King.
@Clockwatcher wrote:
5. Did Cora ever love Henry (Sr.)?
I think she did. She had to have loved him. I think this is what happened: when Cora married Henry, they were dirt poor, so poor that Cora became desperate to provide for her family that maybe she sought out Rumpelstiltskin to help her. And maybe that’s when she learned that the only real power is magic, and if she has magic, that is the only way to survive because it can get you anything. Maybe once she realized that, she looked at Henry Sr. and thought, well, I don’t really need or love him anymore but I’ll keep him around for the sake of my daughter.
I agree with all of that.

6. Is Cora a Dark One?
7. Is Regina a Dark One?
8. Is there more than one Dark One?
9. Is Cora the miller’s daughter from the original Rumple story?
10. If so, is Regina the firstborn Cora would have needed to give to Rumple?
11. Did Regina or Cora get her power from Rumple?
12. Is Cora the Queen of Hearts?
13. How can they both withdraw people’s “hearts” without actually killing them?6 & 7) I think no but the criteria of a Dark One was never defined nor did they say that a Dark One had to be a man. I have a few problems of a yes answer thought: Dark One says to me just that one of them. Rumple and Zoso were the Dark Ones because of the dagger. Maybe Dark One is a masculine for the Dark One is and there is a feminine equivilent. Now going with that The Dark One (Zoso) and Cora, The Dark One (Rumple) and Regina. One can make a connection with those two pairs.
8) one? but really believe just one
9) Yes but then again are any of these stories the same of similiar to the original?
10) Something tells me yes but we do not know if Regina is the first born or not. Nothing was said confirming it or denying it.
11) Hard to say…….nothing also confirming or denying too but possiible.
12) I’m beginning to believe more that she is. Regina and the Queen of Hearts both have heart chambers. Who else can say that she is the only queen and she’s just Regina. Who else has a reason to hate Regina enough to take Henry and put him into a box and into the heart chamber.
13) Magic of the Dark Kind??? Going with what Snow said to Charming in Snow Falls about Fairy Dust; there is good fairy dust and bad fairy dust. It isn’t an exact quotation but that seems to be the logical conclusion.
