Right now it seems that there is a power struggle in Storybrook as there was in Fairytale Land between Rumple and Regina. Belle is the Queen’s pawn and by having her she has a “one up” on Rumple. Rumple unfortunately does not knows this for sure. What good is a pawn if the other does not knows this? Knowing the two characters as well as we know them up until this point…..they enjoy taunting each other and take pride in it. My feeling is that Regina will tell Rmple/ Mr. Gold that she has him and will taunt him about it…..heck she may use Sidney to print it in the newspaper.

He seems to know about the stories by his conversation with Henry and also by him saying he believes and wants Emma to believe the stories. He not only believes but confirms that they are as real as he is. So he is not a reborn dead character. He is a real person. Who is he is yet to be revealed but these are the facts.
charmingParticipantI agree and disagree with rumplegoldfan about Kathryn’s importance. For side-character she does play an important role on the fairy tale side as Abligail and not Kathryn in Storybrooke. In Storybrooke she is getting in the way of David and Mary. However, after certain questions are answered about her in Storybrooke like how she fits into the plot and what she does know about the plot between David and Mary, and also whether or not she was a willing participate in Regina’s scheme or a pawn. After those are answered she’s not important. In FTL who know nothing about her and Frederick. We also know nothing about the fate’s of King’s Midas and George as well as their kingdom’s . We only have mere suggestions and our own speculations on what happened in the flashbacks. I think Abligail is the key too the FTL story more so than Storybrooke.
charmingParticipantFirst of all it is a good explanation. Everyone was expecting a huge dramatic story but the whole story is complex as it is so why make it more complex. Sometimes we hate for the simplest and most petty reasons, that is hers. I agree that this is just part of the story except this is the middle of the story and not the beginning. We only got a glimpse of the Cora and Regina relationship; we do not know their history and that would be the beginning of the story along with her backstory. Next, by the end of the Stableboy episode she is preparing for the wedding of King Leopold. The next time we see these characters minus Cora is the Poisonous Tree and Snow seems to be close to 20 years old. There is close to a 10 year gap where Regina and Snow’s relationship can get even worse. At the end of Stableboy it appeared as if she was mad at Snow but not the straw that breaks the camel’s back. There is more to this feud than we know.
charmingParticipant3. It is possible that Cora killed Snow’s mom; after all she was “responsible” for sending Snow’s horse into Regina’s path so she can get rescued. Regina asked if she had anything to do with her getting hooked up with the King and even though Cora does not answer directly her face and tone of voice suggests otherwise.
8. The Dark One sounds singular to me.
11. Sounds like Regina got the magic from Cora. There is no indication that Henry Sr. has magic at all. She probably got her magic by defeating Cora. As suggested before aquired by killing her or something, maybe that’s why she is so obsessed with getting people’s hearts.
9. Cora is a daughter of a miller. I believe Regina said it. As for the miller’s daughter with Rumple it remains to be seen. Remember every story is changed and has a different twist to it so maybe the two are one and the same but do not be surprised if they are not.
10. There is not indication that Regina is the only child or not. No one has said anything to confirm nor deny. A Cora backstory is needed.
12. I do believe that Cora can be the Queen of Hearts. The chamber in Wonderland where Regina recovers the box with Henry Sr. is similiar to Regina’ chamber of hearts which connects mother and daughter. The ripping of the hearts connects Cora and Regina. I think it is the scene where Cora rips out Daniel’s heart suggests that Cora is the Queen of Hearts.
charmingParticipant1. The Dark Curse can be Rumple’s nuclear option. First, look at where he was when it was enacted; he was captured, imprisoned and his magic rendered unless. He needed Regina to enacted it because he was in no position to but left a loophole so he can have an upper hand over Gina. It does not look like he’d ever let loose that curse unless he had to because his Fairy Tale life was great except he did not have Belle.
4. He needs Emma; quite simply because the enemy of my enemy is my friend. When Regina is defeated who’s to say he won’t turn on everyone else? His only goal is power, the love of his son, Belle and maybe his wife if she’ still alive.
8. Belle is Rumple’s Achille’s Heal. She is the only one that can help break the curse. Rumple seems to know all about the curse if it can be confirmed that he created it. If Rumple does find Belle and kisses him Rumple will not have any magic, Queen wins. She is holding Belle bacj probably as her nuclear option.
12. Rumple is in it for himself, his son and Belle. He has made enemies of everyone. He has altered every single Fairy Tale. I’m willing to bet after the curse is broken everyone will remember who they are and whether or not everyone returns to FTL or not, the endgame and final mission is to beat Rumple. Once he is defeated, all of the fairy tales will return to original form. He is the real enemy but everyone has yet to see that. Perhaps Henry is the only one who knows this.
17. Think of the character of Darth Vader from Episode 1 to Episode 6. He started good until he got the dagger and killed the Dark One. Vader was good until he killed Dooku and pledged his allegience to Palpatine. When Luke finally turns Vader in ep 6 he is good again. Baelfire maybe the key to his good as well as Belle. He has not seen their Storybrooke version or the later FTL versions.
charmingParticipantRed Riding Hood is so far the only character who has not met with Rumple. She only mentions him to Snow using the word “whispers”, meaning to me she has heard of him. Granny may have had a dealing with her, when she says to Snow with regards to the cloak, that she got it from a “wizard”. It could mean Rumple or the Wizard from Oz for those who are anticipating an episode about Oz. Ruby in Storybrooke has met him and knows who he is.
charmingParticipantIt would make sense that Dr Whale is the whale from Pinnochio. We have seen Geppetto, Jiminy, the blue fairy who are all from that story. Dr Whale is the only other character from the first five episodes who do not have a Fairy Tale Land name and there is an upcoming episode concerning Pinnochio. Besides how many other fairy tales can you name with whale in it,; Disney, Grimm or Hans Christian Anderson???
